Before this year, Brandon Allen was the biggest choker I've ever seen. He'd find ways to lose the game.

Not a head scratcher, Coker is from Mobile and the Senior Bowl has invited as many locals as they could over the years.

Senior Bowl invites come from the number of NFL teams interested in a athlete, not popularity nor booster enthusiasm. If an athlete doesn't get enough interest from various teams he isn't invited.
The Senior Bowl committee fills slots up until the day camp starts based on NFL interest and athletes declining or accepting the opportunity.

Coker has a super slow release but as others pointed out he is from Mobile and he will draw out the locals to buy tickets. That game is a commercial enterprise that needs to make a profit like everything else.

brandon allen is 5x the qb coker is. if they was both at Bama coker wouldn't have even got the chance to take a snap this year. coker won't get drafted. he is on a team covered in talent and he is the thing that gives them a chance of losing. the only reason he is going is he is at bama, and he has measurables. he isn't quick on his reads. potential can get you drafted. performance will get you drafted. he doesn't have it in the performance area. he might be a FA somewhere.
