Coker:

2489 yards
17 TD
8 INT

Allen:

3125 yards
29 TD
7 INT

Yes, entirely. NFL coaches and personnel send the invites and coach the teams.

This may partially answer your question... Plus Coker is from Mobile and they want to ensure a crowd, bringing Bama players in helps do that.

PHIL SAVAGE
Executive Director

Phil Savage joined the Senior Bowl as its Executive Director in May of 2012 after working in the NFL as a coach, scout and executive for 20 years. As the Director of College Scouting and later as the Director of Player Personnel with the Baltimore Ravens, Savage helped assemble a roster that included 12 Pro Bowlers - and won Super Bowl XXXV. In his four years as General Manager of the Cleveland Browns he drafted or acquired five Pro Bowlers, including OT Joe Thomas and KR Josh Cribbs. He is a graduate of the University of the South - Sewanee and earned his Masters at the University of Alabama.

They know who and what team draws the crowd.

I thought that the players NFL scouts weren't sure about got the invites so they could evaluate them more.

One is a quarterback who is currently leading his team to the CFB playoffs.

The other's biggest claim to fame is throwing a ball to Hunter Henry which Hunter Henry proceeded to lateral back for the biggest play in Arkansas program history.

In short, Coker is a better quarterback.

is coker really a better prospect? legit question, he's a good qb from what i've seen so not trying to insult him but i don't pay much attention to these things.

Cause coker is 6'5 240, can throw it 70 yards and can run, and has flashed incredible playmaking ability at times, plus grittiness. They want to see him in that setting

I actually think the time at FSU behind crab claw hurt him. I have been amazed at how far he has come under Kiffin this year. He actually has the size and a lot of other things that would make a good NFL QB but he needs a lot more training. Someone may pick him up and see if they can work with him.

Same reason Tebow won the Heisman over McFadden. Nobody knows.

Coker is much a more dynamic quarterback. Allen would be worthless without Hunter Henry bailing him out every single play.

Yes, that's why he got invited, they want to see more of him.

Not to say either him or Allen will be drafted though...

as someone else said, brandon is not 6'5" 240- that's probably part of it.
