If you are ever wondering about a Razorback coaching search, look at KTUL or Dean Blevins is saying. They are the guys who break everything. I do not know why they still are in the loop like they are, but it is generally dead on.
If KNWA or KARK breaks it, theyre generally wrong and then start reporting things what Blevins writes. Eventually, Bo Mattingly will report what TD.com says the day before as his story.

You got a good coach, no doubt, but he hasn't achieved on the same level as Les Miles.
CBB would wreck shop at LSU IMO

I think he's a good coach and LSU would amplify his ability to compete in this conference to a much more consistent level. I'm not sure he could recruit on the level that this staff gets the job done and that would probably result in LSU not winning quite as much as we have during this real bull run period we're having now.

Your fear and the rest of the SEC's fear of us keeping Bert is noted

Contemporaneous reporting by just about every source in the game confirms it.
They also said that Tommy Bowden was our choice before Petrino, Mike Gundy and Chris Petersen were our choices before Bielema and our new DC would be Tyrone Nix

What does that even mean? Like seriously, what are you trying to convey when you repeat this tired arse trope? I've always wondered what exactly you think it communicates. In all seriousness, please tell me what you think what you just wrote means. Is it supposed to be an insult or a compliment or what? I'm genuinely curious if you have an intention when you type those words out.

So nobody knows is what you're arguing but you apparently ALL are CERTAIN that Les wasn't the first choice. Funny how that works. A bunch of reporters who get paid to try and find stuff out can't figure it out, yet, posters on a message board are totally plugged in to how it works and can represent with absolute metaphysical certitude that everyone else is wrong. Got it. Great argument you've put together, there.

For as long as he is hired. The only school in my mind that is even close to an option is Iowa.
He just doesn't seem like an NFL guy to me. He never played in the NFL, and it doesn't seem like his cup of tea.
He has only played/coached at 4 schools. Iowa, Wisconsin, KState, and Arkansas. Assuming the money is the same across the board, I'd imagine Iowa is probably a last stop.
Alma Mater's are always in play. I don't think anyone can deny that fact.

Arkansas is a destination job. As a Stepping Stone I wouldn't expect Ole Miss fans to understand that we're not worried about "when" or "if" our coaches are going to leave.
When it's time it's time.

We can pay a frick ton more than Iowa. Not just in his salary but in assistant salaries. We're also much closer to the best recruits in America, have a better fanbase and have much, much better facilities. I genuinely don't understand any of the arguments saying he'd bolt for Iowa as soon as an offer comes. The strongest argument is a tattoo of a Hawkeye that he got over half his lifetime ago. I'd be shocked if he's ever the coach at Iowa unless he gets fired beforehand.

I don't thin that's the case...LSU has multiple built-in advantages at the present time...1) Recruiting Base 2) Recent National Championships 3) Lots of Players to the NFL 4) "SWAG"
I mean...Wisconsin and Arkansas might have a case for players in the NFL, but not the other 3.
I'm a firm believer in what CBB brings to a program

He was interested in the Dolphins job a few years back but it didn't work out because he wanted to draft Russell Wilson as his franchise QB and the organization disagreed with him on it

He will jump to Bama when Saban retires...

That and they released his name as a candidate. Or that is the story he tells. He has said multiple times that once his name gets involved in a search he pulls his name out of contention.

I could go either way on that one. On the one hand he had like 66 Scott Tolziens line up under center. How were the Dolphins supposed to know that Wilson was different with his size issues and NC State pedigree?

Blah blah blah he was the first choice. End of story. Your assertions to the contrary are just artifice. Literally all of the evidence on the record shows you to be making up a story. Otherwise, you'd produce a report on it contradicting it. You can't, which explains why Arkansas posters don't ever provide proof for this lie.
Where is your proof that Les was our first choice?
