You are what your record says you are.
He better win more than 2 SEC games this year despite significant talent lost from the D

The Top Hog never really went after Miles. They floated the name out there. The Arkansas media speculated. Nobody from Tulsa or OKC reported it. Chris Lincoln and Dean Blevins always scoop the Razorback coaches searches.

It is so funny how you guys go to such great lengths to deny what is the truth. You would basically lie like no one was following that coaching search because of ego. That's hilarious.
Here's some reporting for you:
Jeff Long's Coaching Search List
1. Les Miles.
2. Review Resumes and pick the best one if Les says no.

He'll be around for about another 3 seasons, and if he can beat bama at least once, he might get a pay raise out of the deal.

I can tell you know nothing how things work in NWA or in the state. Again, KNWA/KARK trying to make themselves bigger than what they are, so they floated a name. The University is like the Illuminati when it comes to hiring coaches for Arkansas outlets, you never get the truth, just what you want to hear.

I'm sure he'd jump at the opportunity to coach at a football school, should the opportunity present itself.

Arkansas is a stepping stone for him
Name a coach who has left Arkansas on his own accord in football, baseball or basketball in the last 50 years. I'll give you a couple of hints: It's 1 guy and he spits when he talks. He was also 6-1 vs. A&M.

I can read the reports. Ever since Les publicly spurned Long's advances the company line for Arkansas posters is that he wasn't the first choice. Again, lies. He very clearly was the first choice. Contemporaneous reporting by just about every source in the game confirms it. Keep deluding yourself though about how I can't read what every reporter in the world knew to be true at the time.

You're wrong to say that guy left on his own. He was fired.
J Frank fired the program's best coach, and the two after that.

No idea. You might have one there.

You really believed the whole Arkansas/Les Miles nonsense, huh? He was never a real candidate. Besides, we got the better coach.
Posted on 8/11/15 at 2:12 pm to therick711
Again, you have no clue. Miles was not a choice. Was he called, of course he was, as was every top 25 coach, but he was not the guy, nor ever was he going to be the guy. Like always, the University owned the media and made them look like monkeys.

Again when your only requirement is to beat LSU once every 4 years why would any leave on purpose? Easy way to make 2 mill a year and apparently get to diddle some interns on the side

You got a good coach, no doubt, but he hasn't achieved on the same level as Les Miles.

Blah blah blah he was the first choice. End of story. Your assertions to the contrary are just artifice. Literally all of the evidence on the record shows you to be making up a story. Otherwise, you'd produce a report on it contradicting it. You can't, which explains why Arkansas posters don't ever provide proof for this lie. Ego, boy I tell you, it makes you do stupid things.
