They don't, Bielema is tied at 1-1. Good luck this year.

That's a lot of words to say "I'm scared."

I never thought he sucked. His system compared to Petrino's is night and day. Factor in the 2012 debacle and you'd be a fool not to think he'd struggle in 2013. Also, to the guy that said the Iowa job won't be available anytime soon. They're paying Ferentz 4 million dollars to string together these results the last five years:

8-5
7-6
4-8
8-5
7-6

not quite subtle so i'll do the same- if we'd have hired miles i may be rooting for arkansas state right now.

Let's be honest, what Arkansas did when they swung and missed for an elite level coach with championship experience was much better than say what UT did ending up with some MACtion guy who signs 55 recruits every year.

UT fans like to pretend they are better than Arkansas, but doesn't this prove they aren't? Arkansas thought they could get a coach on Les Miles' level. UT fans couldn't even get a coach on Bielema's level.

lol this time last year yall were saying that he was on the hot seat and now he is going to leave on his own accord. After many winning seasons, since we didn't fire him.

I would be more worried about him leaving for the Miami job (assuming they could pay to play) when Golden is inevitably fired than him leaving for Iowa.

Yep. No Arkansas fan wanted Miles. He is a trainwreck. I remember LSU fans were super pissed that Arkansas fans DIDN'T want him

I would worry about Iowa only because it is apparently impossible to get fired there. Ferentz's corpse has been coaching there for almost a decade. A dead guy can't get fired there. That's a pretty sweet gig.

What's funny is part of the reason a few of your posters didn't want him is because he's lost to Arkansas a few times.

He turned down Nebraska already. He said he wants to do something that's never been done here before and win the SEC. He may leave for Iowa but I can't see Jen wanting to live in big 10 country that much lol

There are very few lateral moves from the B10 to the SEC...this isn't one of them

Bert won't leave for Iowa. He will leave because the SEC will boot him out for winning too many SEC Chamionships. Sorta like how a casino will kick you out for winning too much money. Arkansas will then probably scoop up Gus on the cheap. He would probably work for free though since Arkansas is his dream job.

Hope he left you a pencil box, a manila envelope, and a Hog Hat. If you wear that Uncle Heavy's Hog Hat, they will let you in Mexico for sure!! They will even think you are from around campus.

I didn't want him because I truly believe he couldn't replicate the success he has at LSU. Obviously LSU gets great talent and I believe that is why he wins there, not his coaching.

I don't care why he wins, only that he does. If he gets good talent, call him Bobby Bowden and enjoy being elite.

The bottom line is whether you wanted him or not is immaterial. The top hog tried to get him, but Arkansas didn't have what it takes to get a coach on that level so they went to tier 2 and got a really nice coach as their alternative.
