More proof that less experience is better. You have Bama fans convinced.

The last coach that followed Coach Saban had 4 yrs experience and he logged an 11-2 season for LSU.

Kelly lost 3 games in his second year with the Heisman winner at QB. you LSU guys need to be more concerned with your coach rather than ours.

Ed Orgeron coached the greatest college team of all time at LSU.

Probably one the first 4 they wanted. None of the choices would have been Saban. That’s what many of you haven’t come to grips with.

Kelly took over a team that went .500 for two straight seasons.

DeBoer is taking over a playoff team and SEC champion, also Bammers say he's a top 2 coach.

Not the same situation.

Yep confusing DeBoer with the person he beats all the time. No bueno.

Personally, I can't wait for the very same posters who piddled in their pants laughing saying,"All of Bama's talent left! They didn't want to play for Husky Harsin!" to turn around after DeBoer wins and cry, "He won with Saban's players!!!"

It's inevitable really.

I guess you think Bama actually wanted Kiffin? Newsflash, he and Dabo were NEVER candidates. Get real. They would have taken the job over the phone. . The only coach that said no was Oregon's coach. Sark and Kirby were never possibilities and Byrne knew that so in reality you statement should read "Probably the one that turned Bama down."

I do somewhat agree with none of your choices would have been Saban to a degree. The Saban from 08-20 was the greatest ever but Saban had lost a step since and anybody that is rational could see that.

I thought it was reported that Norvell was the only other candidate?

It was DeBoer and Norvell. That’s it. But of course, Stephen’s brother LSUPatrick actually knows what happened behind the scenes more than any reporter or anyone affiliated with Alabama.

Alabama doesn’t really need to do anything except keep the train rolling (much like LSU did after Saban left) and they will win more NCs. Maybe not as frequent appearance wise, but just keep the momentum going.

I have a ton of respect for what Saban did for Alabama. I don’t get the hate.

Agree, and I don't think DeBoer will lose 3 games (but I'm just guessing). My point was all the interest in our coach instead of your own. As always, it will all work out when the season finally starts.

I talk about Brian Kelly all the time.

If you talk about your own team, this board says you're insecure.

If you bring up someone else, you're obsessed.

What can actually be discussed here?

Two bad seasons will have the gumps in total panic mode. Heupel will blow Bama out these next two years with a prime Nico led offense against them. Watch. Am looking at their schedule now. They go to Wisconsin early in the year followed by a home game with UGA then get SC before going to Knoxville where they will receive the beating of their lives right before hosting Mizzou then road trips to LSU and Oklahoma. Sheeshhhhh. Would be hilarious if they drop that road game to Wisconsin before their absolute gauntlet of a league schedule begins.

Do you make shine ? I’d ask if you sell any of it but you seem to drink all your product up. And that’s too bad because it looks as if it is some good stuff.

I'm betting he will be at least as successful as Les Miles was after Saban left LSU.
