Well...assuming he's a mediocre head coach and not a solid hire, Alabama typically gives their top guy three or four seasons before telling them that they're moving in a different direction. Mike Shula and Mike DuBose are the two most recent examples of this policy.

He would have to fail miserably at Alabama by not even being a serious Div I coach and a complete fraud which won't happen and have proven to not be the case.

He'll easily outdo both Sark and Kiffin.

I know it bothers you guys but we're about to go on yet another run

DeBoer will do just fine at Alabama. If nothing else, DeBoer owns Sarkisian so there are no further losses to Texas on the table.

Maybe stones aren't needed. After all, I hear that he'll easily out do Sark or Kiffen.

The man has been on the job for 4 months and LSU fans are already crying to replace him with a worse coach.

Two bad seasons will have the gumps in total panic mode. Heupel will blow Bama out these next two years with a prime Nico led offense against them. Watch.

Am looking at their schedule now.

They go to Wisconsin early in the year followed by a home game with UGA then get SC before going to Knoxville where they will receive the beating of their lives right before hosting Mizzou then road trips to LSU and Oklahoma. Sheeshhhhh.

Would be hilarious if they drop that road game to Wisconsin before their absolute gauntlet of a league schedule begins.

Ignorant. Bama has more five stars on the team now than Tennessee has had on their entire team for 10+ years.

DeBoer took a 4-8 Washington team to 11-2 and 14-1. Now he starts with one of the 5 best rosters in college football.

You are on pace for 5,200 posts in a year, why don't you do something productive with your life, like getting a job

I think the real test will be in years 3 & 4. Saban built the fricking deathstar and filled it with talent, even with transfers they are still stacked. He built infrastructure and processes that carry on for years and he's still connected to the program.

It'll be like LSU/Les Miles, but amplified. They'll do well year 1 and 2, 3 and 4 is when it really becomes his team and we'll see what that looks like.

Based on what? DeBusts terrible coordinator hires? His mediocre recruiting? His 37-9 D1 record?

Shed some light on exactly what Wisconsin has done in the offseason that would give them with enough fire power to beat Alabama?

Seriously man, they lost 6 games last year and it took OT to beat a shitty Nebraska team. Just because LSU struggled to beat them in a bowl game doesn't mean Alabama will.

For the money he's getting paid I'd coach anywhere.

Wisconsin should be physical if nothing else.

Alabama hasn't had a coach since Bryant who couldn't win 10 games, no matter how short their tenure. I imagine Alabama is always going to be a tough out, and Saban's success is going to make a short leash for DeBoer.

That doesn't matter because they are changing systems abd their staff up.

The first year will be rough especially against veteran up tempo teams like the Vols. We are going to catch their defense out of alignment all game long and have pur way on offense. I have zero doubts about that.

Also, Bama doesn't have a proven QB on its roster. Don't mention the RB with a decent arm from last year pretending to be one. Not good for a first year coach in this league.

Agree. Saban had top recruiting classes for years in a row. Having good Top 10-type classes will be good but won't be like Saban. We will just have to see.
