You my friend, are an idiot.

After Saban and Dipshit Miles, it requires a 6 plus million dollar a year coach to keep up.

There are only 5 coaches in the NCAA worth 6million or more and 2 of them are retired.

And yes, Coach O isn't going to help either

Reckon that might have to do with their lack of talent? Not everyone can afford to drop bags of cash at recruits' doors and pay for hookers.

At LSU, he'd have all the talent he needs.

I would imagine he'd have been asking for a hefty raise to leave, no?

Mullen wasn't making a ton of money then. He interviewed with Penn State in 2011. Dan Mullen made 2.65 million/year in 2011. Only Derek Dooley and Joker Phillips were paid less among SEC head coaches in 2011.

Florida has never seemed to be too interested in hiring him either, and they've had two head coaching vacancies since Mullen has been at State. If he was such a gem of a head coach with the proper talent, Florida would know, yet they didn't even interview the guy.

But, as I wrote many times when the LSU coaching position was "open," WKU's Jeff Brohm was available and a great candidate for LSU. I don't think he even got a call, so went to Purdue. Alleva is a freaking genius...

Yeh right..

Lets get real. I don't care what anyone says.

Saban, is the best coach in all of college football, congratulations BAMA, nothing wrong with success.

LSU had Saban, he changed the program, and elevated the football team to new heights.

So in reality, there are maybe 4-5 coaches, max, that can compete with SABAN ..if they had the right school to coach at.

and DAN MULLEN sure the is not one of them

Anywhere else paying that kind of money is going to expect to be at least competing for conference championships or be fired

We will be expecting that once Saban leaves. We are the only realistic fanbase in the SEC besides Vandy and Kentucky with our expectations while lil Napoleon is busy satisfying his never ending need to destroy the SEC. Wish the dude would fricking retire or go to the NFL already. It's really pathetic he won't actually. He's the Geno Auriemma of college football.

Because the previous athletic director doesn't like Mullen. Ask any knowledgeable UF fan and they'll tell you the same. There also hasn't been a head coach poached by another SEC school since 1999 in football so it's not exactly encouraged for SEC programs to be doing it.

I think Mullen would be a great coach for a school like LSU that recruits itself.

He's a good coach, just not a dynamic recruiter. LSU, Florida, they don't need those.

For the life of me I couldnt believe when Florida hired Mac over Mullen.

Mullen coached there, was heavily responsible for the last great offense Florida has had, is a great offensive mind.

I was just as confused when we went with O over getting a guy like Fuente at lsu
