he Clemson folks seem to think Dabo does not want to be the guy to replace Saban, I mean think of the pressure taking over from arguably the best HC in college football history. I personally think Mike Price has paid his dues and deserves another opportunity, the REC might go in that direction.

no more pressure than being coach at Clemson. he would be getting paid more at Alabama too.

i think most of Saban's success is due to fact the SEC has not been particularly good the last few years.

if I was Dabo, i would prefer to be in SC recruiting against USC for in state talent rather than against Auburn. Clemson also has advantage of being closer to NC, VA and northeast, while also near GA and FL.

Bama won't talk to Dabo. At Clemson he is the modern day Bowden/Paterno.

Bama will look for the next Paul Bear Saban and hire whoever the hell we want.

I love the scenario but Dabo isn't saying no.

I don't think following Saban is going to be very attractive for anyone...and assuming Dabo continues having success, he's going to be leaving a very big job that's completely his.

it is only his if he continues to have decent seasons. bobby bowden and frank beamer both got fired.

You and Auburn have to have one, we don't.

But when Watson becomes a Namath, Starr or Stabler let me know. Todd or Rutledge even.

I honestly don't know what his mindset would be about it. I think he is probably the best known quantity that would be reasonably available (Meyer and Harbaugh, obviously, are out). I'm not the biggest Jimbo fan, but he recruits great players and has consistently very good teams year in and year out. He is as consistently good as anyone in CFB.

I could be wrong, but I think he would jump at the chance. Bowden was on the downswing, but still a lot of coaches would have hesitated to take the roll. He would never have to argue about staff salary or facility upgrades there either. I think he is one of the big name guys who would not hesitate to take over.

you needed a better passer this year.

and Renfrow a walkon had big game agaisnt you two years in a row and caught game winning td. that goes completely against your narrative. the WR has to catch the ball, it not just the qb.

Mike williams and Jordan Legget both made incredible catches on that last drive. not just the qb.

Gallman was solid running the ball. not just the qb.

4 Clemson WRS had 90 plus yards. it's not just the QB.

it is a team sport. CLemson defense forced a ton of punts and many 3 and outs. i think the 3rd down conversion for bama was dismal. our o-line played well.

you are an alabama homer. ask ken hatfield, tommy west, tommy bowden and dabo if there is little pressure at Clemson.

the SEC hasn't been good, that's why the same team can go undefeated or only have 1 loss basically every year.

...and you're a Clemson fool. Hatfield, West and Bowden were canned for playing .500 ball. At Alabama, 8-4 will get the pitchforks out, plus every news outlet in America will do specials about an Alabama "decline".
To say that most of Saban's success is due to the SEC being not "particularly good" is so asinine, that you lose any credibility you'd have on this board.
Finally, what the frick are you doing here? Are there no ACC boards, or do you not like discussing basketball? MY guess is you've become a nuisance on them and people have learned to just not reply to you.

i love how you think there no Clemson fans who get the pitchforks out if Clemson is 8-4. lol it crazy how you think Alabama is the only college where there are fans with high expectations. you are a homer.

SEC hasn't been good, the QB play been terrible. i get your conference cheerleader but it is ok to put down the poms poms.

Hatfield was 8-3 his last season at Clemson, and he won an ACC title. He was 10-2, 9-3, 5-6, and 9-2 in 4 seasons. you have literally no knowledge of Clemson football, you just speculate. Bowden was fired midseason in a season following 3 seasons with 8, 8, and 9 wins.

I'm sure that you've seen that I was adamant about the SEC being down last year in other threads,so all bullshite about being a conference cheerleader is just that...bullshite.

Hatfield wasn't fired...he RESIGNED.
Tommy Bowden lost at least FOUR games every year he was coach except one and lost three then. He was fired midyear because because he'd already lost THREE game by then (3-3).

Bud, you are TOTALLY full of shite and nothing you post can be believed. You really need to get the frick out of here and go to a board of ACC folks..if you can find one that will tolerate you.
Finally, I'm sure there are many good Clemson fans and posters out there, but you discredit them and I'm pretty sure you are an embarrassment to them, so do everybody a big ole solid, and frick OFF!!
