Democo Ryans is damn good.

DJ Fluker had an awesome Rookie season.

Dee Milliner and Dre Kirkpatrick both finished their seasons well, Milliner especially.

Mark Ingram had a hell of a finish to the season. Carried the Saints in their 1st playoff game.

Julio is easily the best though, Eddie Lacy not far behind. Imagine what Eddie is going to do once Aaron Rodgers and all of their WR's get healthy.

Some teams likely reach a little bit for Alabama players, which in turns leads to what seems a disproportionate number of busts. However if "bust" as it were could ever be defined I imagine that the percentage of Alabama's would be pretty commensurate to the overall percentage and perhaps slightly higher due to some NFL teams reaching.

This is the only thing I can assume is true...

And to me (this is my opinion) but i consider a bust to be underperforming based on where you were drafted in your class.

First rounders should be on par with other first rounders etc.

What CBE said makes sense though. Apparently it is alot of name recognition. I guess Saban with always peak at the collegient level in every way

Julio Jones is the best bama player in the league right now. Every team in the league would love to have him.

Who is aTm's best player in the league? Von Miller? he's a bust when he's not on roids

Meh. He had a good 2 first years in Houston. Hasnt impressed lately.

Usually they do. I was talking more about sustained success (3 years plus in the league)

Same as above

Still underperforming based on college years and draft stock.

These 2 you can hang your hat on (barring injury) Verdict is still out on the other less than 3 year players.

Guess I just dont see alot of Bama veterans with long hall of fame carreers since Saban took over at Bama.

All 11 starters from the 2011 Bama Defense are on NFL rosters. Most of them were not drafted in the first round which means they worked their way onto the roster. Do you understand how incredible that is?

Calm down Gump... was asking a question not claiming that we had better players in the NFL as you... Although that will be changing in the coming years.

Ryan Tannehill is doing a decent job for the talent he has at Miami.

Von Miller is a beast.

Shane Lechler is a sure fire hall of famer.

Just off the top of my head.

But again I am not comparing programs... Im simply asking why the majority of Bama players suck in the pros.

So you're saying that Saban players do worse when he's no longer their coach while Les's players do better?

Hmm...

I don't really buy into this whole thing. It's just a point to get people talking. There are many schools that have busts in the league. Alabama's players are just under a microscope because they are coming from such a high level of success on the college level. For every Julio Jones and Eddie Lacy, there are your Terrance Cotys and Mark Ingrams. People see guys that succeed in college and expect that it will translate to the NFL game. That is not always the case, of course.

As previously stated MULTIPLE TIMES... I said I am impressed at how many players you have in the NFL...(less than LSU still though) I am talking LONG TERM SUCCESS. if those 11 players (not all are starters) and still starting in 2015 i would consider that a major improvement but history says that wont be the case.

Saban's first recruit would've been drafted like 4 years ago. Do a lot of players become veteran Hall of Famer's in 4 years?
