I predicted a 10 win tops season I knew our secondary was going to be awful but figured D line would’ve been better . I think that will be the ceiling again next year also .

What was your assessment this time last year?

Id say most were patient with Drink but the leash was getting shorter. A 7-8 win season would have kept him around I think.

Now we are in territory the program hasn't been in for 10+ years. sustaining success, and that obviously comes with some leeway. The team also got better as the year went on.

Does this season make us a transfer portal destination? Does it change how elite HS talent views MU? Does it boost fan/donor morale?

It comes down to surviving v. thriving. At the moment we are closer to thriving.

I thought, and said several times, we would lose 2 or 3 if Milroe was the best qb we had.

12-0. Beat our 3 biggest rivals. FSU playing with house money!

Beat the goat at his house by double digits and victory formation on offense, took care of all of the hateful 8 Big12 left behinds (#8 comes this Saturday) and still can't get in the frickin playoffs because of a miscommunication in the secondary in the waning seconds of our game in the real Cotton Bowl back in October. That about sums it up.

I predicted 7-5, and the final tally was 5-7, so the short answer is the season went worse than I thought it would.

Of the seven losses, we were soundly beaten by 4 teams, Utah, Kentucky, Georgia and LSU. We had really good chances to win the other 3 games vs Arkansas, Missouri and FSU. Of the games we won, only South Carolina was close and we could have lost that won easily. So when you are losing most of your close games, much of it comes down to coaching, and I don't think we have the guy to get UF back to the upper echelon of the conference.

I think it is time to cut bait, but we probably won't for another year. I am not going to go into all the reasons why Billy is not the answer, but you can tell when you are watching a poorly coached team, and man it sure is glaring.

Many fans were saying Mizzou will fire Drinkwitz. Drinkwitz was in the same boat as Napier is in right now. Got to give him another year to turn the corner. If it doesn't work out, then move on to the next new HC.

I guessed 9-3 and we went 9-3. So right about where I expected.

What I didn't count on was having a championship caliber offense and a Jr. High defense.

Impressed how Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi overhauled the Defense in only one year. Feels like the Ducks actually have an identity on defense for once. He's gotten recruits on D, we otherwise could never have gotten. Best defense since 2010 and actually better in some categories. SOS aside, ducks can only compete with teams in their conference but it's been cool to see.

Grateful they both learned from Saban and Kirby and gave me a big appreciation for their top programs. In a weird way, Ducks have benefited greatly from Alabama and Georgia via their coaches.

I'll take 11-1 with a chance to beat our rival and get redemption.

Better than I thought, I think I predicted 8 wins. JD ended up being so much better than last season, or even game 1.

Still ended up disappointed just due to how awful our defense was.

Overall if we hit 10 wins I cant be upset as that is the baseline we should always be at.

We were as close to 10-2 as possible (gave away the Ole Miss game - had a 9 point lead in the 4th). We actually had the lead in our other 2 losses (FSU and bama). But even with JD, lousy D is hard to overcome.

We’d be in playoff with any semblance of a Defense

It’s like reverse Les Miles

You guys will boat race the pokes. If they can't run the ball with Gordon (your run D is stout), they are arse. Bowman isn't good enough to beat u
