Frustrating but ultimately about how I expected it to go, but the way we got there wasn't what I expected.

I predicted 5-7, but I thought it would be primarily due to talent deficiencies, not poor coaching. So, I would say the season was a disappointment.

I also thought 6-6 or 7-5 at best.

The good:
- Mertz turned out to be about as good a QB as we could hope for
- Back to trolling Tennessee no matter what
- Actually took care of Vandy without much worry (has been tough lately)
- This was a very young team. We played a ton of freshman and sophomores and found some pretty good ones, particularly on offense

The bad:
- Major coaching snafus cost us in a few games: FSU, Missouri, Arkansas. South Carolina shouldn't have been close.
- Kentucky wasn't good enough to work us like they did this year
- Utah should have been a win. They were decimated by injury. Napier just didn't have the team ready or confident

The ugly:
- Schedule next year is nearly as brutal as this year's. Luckily a few of our tougher opponents have some roster turnover that will help. Daniels gone and we get LSU at home. No Travis Jordan.
- Napier needs to hold recruiting. If we lose ground he doesn't even fill a Ron Zook role in the worst case scenario

No minus only because the defense was better than 2022 and first win at Florida but still a disaster

Given the condition of the East I thought we would make it undefeated with our biggest hurdle being TN. After the first few games I changed that to be the Mizz through TN set of games. I was proven correct.

Offense turned out better than expected when we’re health, defense worse than expected. I have no idea what will happen this Saturday.

We are foolish to think we are above being 8-4 at this point in time. The Florida and Mizzou loss were pretty gross

every school in the SEC would take OM's season this year

No doubt, but if LSU had fired that sorryfrick piece of shite we called a defensive coordinator after Arkansas it could have been much better and Ole Miss might be singing a different tune.

Disappointing, but I did see glimmers of hope for the future. Mertz was everything I thought he would be, and will be very optimistic if he returns for 2024. The offense started clicking the 2nd half of the season. The defense was really good in the 1st half of games. With an extra season of conditioning and added depth they should be able to last a full game next year. Devin Moore is a lockdown corner if he can find a way to stay healthy. State Champs 2024!
In summary, I only have orange and blue blood filled with hopium after this season.

Anyone who knows the inside of the building and the culture of the organization has a huge advantage from the start. He has already had a few years to work on his executive leadership skills as a head coach. How he likes to run his organization, etc. He is going to come in with a good plan, of that I am sure.

Good game to you as well. You played us exactly like I thought you would. Keep JD5 on the bench with a ball control game. We were fortunate to come out with the win.

I'm comfortable shuttering the program.

Losses to Clemson and Florida were utterly inexcusable. Pissed away an aTm game, yet again.

And next year we get related to the B12 East.

Someone PLEASE fire Ray Tanner so we can actually attempt to compete.

I said 9-3. So did better than I thought. Give sark a B just cause the RRS. Win that game and it's an A+

Predicted 9-3...went 8-4...knew there would be a drop-off in talent...didn't expect the drop-off in coaching. Still...so much better than most seasons I've experienced over the last 2 decades.

A defense with a small pulse could have got us back to Atlanta.

Said we would win 9-10 games but one may have to be in bowl. Overall ok but lost the big games

I genuinely thought the ref jobs would cost us at least one game. Fortunately, we were just too good along the lines for it to matter (yet).

It’s a bitter pill to swallow that OU might cost us a spot in the playoff, but a Big 12 championship was always the goal and priority. If Sark wins it, I have it as an A+ for sure. If he doesn’t, it’s an F. Just no excuse for us to lose to an Ok State team that we matchup extremely well with.

Wound up where I thought we would but I'm disappointed with the Florida loss. That's the one game I wish we had back but only if Cooper can play. It would be the same result if he were out.

This season was a grind but I felt it would be. We lost a lot of production and then we stacked up injuries. It's a bit of a miracle that we ended up doing as well as we did. I don't have a lot of hope for a bowl win this year - we just have too many injuries at this point unless we get a really easy matchup.

I'm def. looking forward to turning the page on this offense.

Still don't know if we are elite or overrated. I think elite but we will find out shortly.

I expected texas to compete for a B12 championship and maybe be what ole miss is. They have far exceeded my expectations. They deserve to make the playoffs if they beat okie state.
I expected tcu to be about 8-4. They are way worse than I expected. They suck arse
