I have said it before, anyone from either team who says this isn't a big game and losing doesn't effect them is lying imo. No way will I be okay with losing to Bama ever. Will I be satisfied with the overall year AU has had? Yes I will.

I will feel really good about this game if we can get to the fourth quarter tied or only down 3-4.
I'll feel the exact opposite of really good if that is the situation.
This is key for Auburn, even Gus said this. It would play to all of our strengths. Of course, we'll need the 4th quarter defense we've had most of the season, as opposed to that we had against UGA.

Yes they can. It isn't the strenght of the offense, but NM's throwing ability isn't nearly as bad as some make it out.
He has a strong arm and can make all of the throws. He struggles with accuracy and decision making at times, but he isn't terrible.
I actually won't be surprised if Saban and Smart come up with an effective plan at significantly limiting Auburn's run game only for Marshall to hit big plays in the passing game. Alabama will have to overplay the run to stop it, so there will be multiple opportunities for Marshall. That really might be the game on that side of the ball.
Honestly I'm hoping Alabama just exectutes on offense and outscores Auburn. I feel better about that side of the ball, which is very weird to say as an Alabama fan.

The only way I will breathe during this game is if we score 30 points more than they do in the first half. In 2010, for some reason, I had 30 in my mind, and we fell short, and they won by 1.
I don't believe that Auburn will be gassed in the 4th quarter, because they change out as much as we do. They may not be as deep as we are, but they will still spread it out.
Any Bama fan that is not worried about this game is only lying to themselves. This is the most important game of the year because of the rivalry and regardless of the other things we're both playing for.

"3-peat" since Phil Jackson trademarked

Pat Riley trademarked it when he was with the Lakers

Riles & Co., the corporate entity of National Basketball Association (NBA) coach Pat Riley, submitted in November 1988 a trademark application for the use of three-peat on shirts, jackets and hats. At the time, the phrase was being used by members and fans of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, of whom Riley was the head coach, regarding the Lakers' quest that season to obtain what would have been a third successive NBA championship. According to Riley, it was Laker player Byron Scott who coined the term in reference to the team's goal for that season.
In 1989, Riles & Co. successfully registered the trademark under U.S. Registration Number 1552980. The Lakers did not win a third consecutive NBA championship in 1989, but the Chicago Bulls did in 1993, and Riles & Co. collected royalties from sports apparel makers who licensed the phrase for use on merchandise commemorating that accomplishment.

I agree 100%.
This is the biggest IB of all time, and there's NOTHING I want more in life right now than to hear a glorious reverse rammer jammer in JHS.
I really think MSU has a shot at knocking off OSU, so there is a good possibility that this game has BCS NCG implications.
I'm looking forward to a great game that will be remembered for generations. War Damn

I believe NM will hit some big passes, I'm just not sure it'll be the sustained, intermediate passing game we would really like to see. I like Coates to catch some deep balls in this game, but I hope we've got something more than the chunk it and go get it we've used recently.

No worries. Hell, the dude fights for that trademark too. I think it was Prattville HS that wanted to put three peat on their champ rings but couldn't.

Its the Iron Bowl. No Fear involved. I am quietly confident about Auburns chances. Especially in Auburn. We might not win, but by God, we'll have Sabans sphincter fluctuating.

How much pressure the fans feel is irrelevant, except for the fact it will drive more internet traffic. The impact on the game is how the players and coaches feel.
Alabama goes into this game believing they will win. I would be very surprised if the actual players and coaches at auburn are looking at this game as "house money".
I don't even know if the whole "playing with nothing to lose" is the advantage some people seem to think it is. But regardless, when all you need to do is win the next two games and have one break fall your way to end up in the title game, you are NOT playing with "nothing to lose".
The rest of us are sort of silly arguing over whose lives will be affected more. Both fanbases will have complete idiots breaking down if they lose, and I'm fine with admitting there are more Alabama fans in that category than auburn.

Incidentally, if any of you have the same problem with gambling that I do, there's no such thing as "house money" for us. There's "temporarily having more than you brought but quickly pissing it back away" money.

I agree with this. I've been saying I think Coates goes for over 100 receiving and I think Nick goes over 200 and 2 TDS. Also think our running game will produce and get a couple of TDs though it won't run over bama like it has been doing.

And this is what worries me. Slowing down a balanced very good bama O.
