The only way I can see it helping is if things go well for Auburn, and Alabama has trouble reacting because of the magnitude and because they're not used to this situation.
I think this is important. Teams tested and put in clutch situations over the course of the season can pay dividends when they face it again. Alabama has really only been in serious trouble once in my opinion. That was in the A&M game and it was when they were down 14-0 in the 1st quarter so it wasn't even end of game true crunch time type pressure. Alabama's 4th quarters have been largely without any drama at all. I expect this game to be close in the 4th Quarter and will be nervous about how Alabama's players react to that.

the rest of the country is telling both fanbases that this is the biggest Iron Bowl ever.
Maybe the talking heads.
People with any sense realize this game won't be worth watching beyond the first half outside of Alabama.

Of course.

It's tough to play hunh for a full game. Auburn benefits the greatest from this in the first half when their legs are completely fresh. By the 4th qtr they are gassed...and will be especially vs Bama.

I just don't get this.
Have you watched Auburn play or are you just looking at #4 and 9-1?

So do you, but based on where the respective fan bases are in their expectations, we simply predict we'll handle it better than you all will.
This sums it up. Lets be honest, we are all fans here and we are discussing what pressure we, as fans, hav eon this game. So where, as a collective fanbase, would each school be on sunday morning after loss. Auburn, pissed about loss but still happy about our unexpected and successfull season. Bama, extremely pissed and borderline sui/homocidal.

Sorry, you're wrong. The HUNH doesn't wear itself out, it wears out the defense. Playing defense is much more strenuous than playing offense, the theory being more plays being run, advantage to the offense running them.

Quite honestly, even with the W, I don't expect AU to make the NC. So at this point, my biggest worry with the L is a "3-peat" T-shirts/bumper stickers/flags/family shite talking I'll have to see and hear.

You are trying very hard to downplay this game.
Projecting at its finest.

I will feel really good about this game if we can get to the fourth quarter tied or only down 3-4.

Trademarked it? Damn, did not know that.

I'll feel the exact opposite of really good if that is the situation.

"3-peat" since Phil Jackson trademarked
Pat Riley trademarked it when he was with the Lakers

I'm just being realistic. I watched Auburn against TAM, LSU and UGA. Decent team at best.
Alabama is not as good as they have been in the past either, but Auburn can't throw the ball.

but Auburn can't throw the ball.
He has a strong arm and can make all of the throws. He struggles with accuracy and decision making at times, but he isn't terrible.
