TSIO rivalry has been forced for half a decade at this point. Every Bama fan will get their half-assed "frick UTK and Philip Fulmer" at some point, just because they feel like they have to.
Can't blame them. No Bama rivalry seems interesting lately. Bama ruins everything.

Alabama has beaten Auburn, LSU and Tennessee 15 of the last 16 meetings.
If the prerequisite for a game to be a rivalry is recent success then Alabama's only rivals are Ole Miss and Clemson.

Crap's cyclical. I'm sure there was a stretch in the 50s before Bryant came on board where Auburn would have laughed at the idea of Alabama being a rival anymore.
Is LSU not a rival because they were mediocre in the 90s?
That said, I'm not going to pretend that this being a rivalry game will somehow make it close.

I want the shut out. Alabama has outscored UT 351-119 during the 10 game win streak, but hasn't been able to shut them out yet.
I think Alabama currently has the last shut out of the following SEC teams:
Arkansas
Auburn
Georgia
LSU
Texas A&M
Vanderbilt
Just missed adding Ole Miss to the list earlier this season, and I want UT on there. It's at least something to keep the game interesting.

I hate Auburn and Tennessee more than anyone in college football. That won't change if we beat them 45 years in a row.

Is dominating your opponent for an extended period somehow the factor for determining who is a rival?
So our rivals are Ole Miss, Clemson, and South Carolina?

Those of us old enough will never let this guy go. AU is not liked, but we despise everything Tennessee is, was, or will be. I hope those hillbilly toothless fracks lose by 50 to every team they face, especially Alabama. Are they a rival? Yes, and they will always be the most hated team Alabama plays. Period.
