The best part about you hillbillies is your attempt to kill our program and severely harm the university is what led us to getting Saban

As long as most of us are alive (I'm 32) that factor will never become a distant memory. Ever.
I would like to bang his daughters, though, and send him pics of it

That fricking orange is ugly, too. It looks like a melted push pop and it's an offense to the eyes. Seriously, what blind a-hole saw that and thought, "Hey, that's a school color that everyone could get behind and be fired up about!"? A sick bastard Tennessee a-hole, that's who.

Tennessee was Bama's main rival long before Fulmer. As the two best programs in the SEC and border states, it's been a heated rival for a very long time. Fulmer just threw a little extra gas on the fire when he was there.

Anybody who is a true Alabama fan that grew up an Alabama fan in an Alabama family hates Tennessee and visa versa. To be frank, we don't give a rats arse if the rest of the conference understands that or not.
Nice post.
We hear this shite year after year, and just don't care what anyone thinks anymore. I hate Tennessee with every molecular fiber of my being. It is entrenched and interwoven within the strainds of my DNA. Freakin' toothless frackers.

Hey, this is one of the (snicker) premiere college rivalries. (snort) It's going to be a great game.

Yes, and they will always be the most hated team Alabama plays. Period.
You must be from North Alabama? In LA, Auburn is the most hated team. Period.

Well said for the most part.
The following is how many Bama fans view her rivalries: AU is a nuisance, LSU has been a man and a true litmus test most of the last 10 years, UT is despised with the greatest contempt because of Fulmer, who by nefarious means tried to destroy not only Bama's present, but her past and future. It's a pity because prior there had been mutual respect between the 2 programs, as they had at that time been the clear 1 & 2 programs in the SEC and the South for that matter. (IMO, LSU has now passed UT all time as far as the SEC.)
Just because Bama lost to Clemson and OM (Bama's record against Clemson is 13-4 and OM is 52-10-2) does not make them rivals. Bama has also lost to USCe, UF, LSU, AU, OU and OSU the last 10+ years. MSU would be considered more of a rival than OM, primarily because MSU, whose record is 17-81-3 against Bama, has historically played Bama a very tough, physical game. I.e., losing and the threat of losing isn't everything, but it does add tension to the game.

I wouldn't say it eliminates rivals, but it certainly loses steam when it stops being competitive or interesting when it becomes incredibly one-sided and the main factor for the increased passion/hate becomes more of a distant memory (see the Fulmer nemesis factor). Eventually, UT will win one and it will reignite to an extent, but you can't deny that a rivalry loses its luster when one of the teams stops being relevant in the match-up for a long time. I agree the LSU "rivalry" has cooled considerably in the last several years for the same reason. Not sure if strawman or incorrect assumptions. Auburn is different due to more recent competitiveness, in-state component, and fairly recent controversy/dramatic games. Ole Miss, Clemson and USC weren't at the same level as UT and Auburn, so a few wins here and there wouldn't create a rivalry, other than that in-the-moment revenge factor. You also play USC and Clemson once or twice a decade, so those are poor examples anyway.

Tickets are available on StubHub at less than face value. It's a damn shame.
So yeah...maybe so a little bit.

If you were banging Charlotte McKinney for several years straight, could you still get up for it?
To be fair about it, a closer analogy for Tennessee is Mayim Bialik. Everybody knows who she is, the famous factor is there. But they're not exactly sure WHY or HOW.

Well, he was implying something as enjoyable as boot stomping the VOLOLOLOLs must get boring. So, I posed the question if something as enjoyable as putting the wood to Miss McKinney would lose its appeal.

It's a family rivalry for me, so no.
Does LSU still consider Ole Miss a rival?

Haven't seen one thread yet where some Bama fan goes through the motion of pretending that UT is still a rival.
How many years has it been since LSU beat Alabama? I believe you've only beaten us twice since Saban got the ball rolling in 2008. So what is your definition of a rival?

Exactly.
We want to beat the hell out of Tennessee. Tennessee posters want us to beat the hell out of Tennessee. No dissension. What's the point of posting about it?
The Gruden threads is where the fun is.
