These poor ref's are going to get grilled this year - I bet ole Roger Redding's arse is tight as a drum. He and Slive will be pressed pretty hard to "educate" the officiating crew about controling the pace of the game

The networks should do thier part for player safety and sell more advertising. More commercial breaks would be helpful.

Yeah, I don't think anyone is going to say "By rule he will be put to death outside of the village by ceremonial stoning." It's kind of an inane question to ask a coach.

Ok,from now on, have any blitzing defensive player count out 5 Mississippi's before heading toward the QB, so it's more sporting.

Simple, he used the defense that all Auburn players use. He didn't know the weed or the gun was in the car. He just didn't know.

I don't recall him ever saying he didn't know that stuff was in the car. Maybe I missed it.

Not sure why you are laughing. This is going to pass. Everything from here on out is a formality.

Then I guess there is nothing else to talk about.

Next topic, what is the penalty for a defensive player in the neutral zone during the 10 second delay?

I believe proposed change will get kicked back to the Rules Committee for two reasons: Needs more coaches input and data on injury impact.

we'll see what happens... i doubt it passes this year... but a compromise could be coming in the near future.

@JamesCrepea: Malzahn said "there is absolutely zero evidence" that fast-pace offenses cause more player injuries.

I guess Gus like the rest of the Auburn fan base are too stupid to realize that 19 more plays a game is 19 more opportunities to get hurt.

Take away those 19 plays in the BCSCG and Gus may not have blown a 19 point lead.

Gus is willing to have the matter discussed fairly and not try to do things the cowardly way.

Some would suggest that running an offense that relies on snapping the ball before the defense is ready is a bit cowardly in itself.
