Sure guy, sure. Whatever makes you feel better.
I feel exactly the same as I would if LSU wasn't winning titles while AU, OM, Arky, Oregon, Penn State, or Northern Illinois were claiming them. I give 0 shits about who wins the titles, only that LSU isn't.
I know you NEED to believe that Alabama football is some mythical juggernaut that everyone would trade their first born children to beat for your self esteem, but that just isn't the case.

correct. I hate it too.

Alabama has been the most consistent and best program in America since 2008.
You must be public school educated. No one has denied this. The new fact is that OSU (and UM) will both be very good moving forward, and have less competition than Alabama. Beat UM and Penn, you're pretty much in. Alabama has a much tougher in conference schedule.

But in reality, the road to a championship will now go through Ohio State. I hate it too. But they will be in the top 4 for years to come.
Meh....a turnover there or another first down in the title game and Bama would have another NC, the narrative would be entirely different and Bama fans on tRant would be even more obnoxious and arrogant than we are now.
...but yeah, Urban and tOSU will be a contender. tOSU has alwasy been one....hopefully Harbaugh will start giving them some competition in what is otherwise a pretty down conference. Would like to have seen last year's tOSU run an SEC gauntlet.

What kind of career do you expect Gus Malzahn to have at Auburn?
Tuberville 2.0 minus the domination of Bama. Some really, really good years (2004, 2013), some what the?! years (2008, 2014), but mainly just consistently good. Tubs finished as west division champ 2x, SEC 1x, one unbeaten season, and averaged 8.5 wins per year at AU (nearly 9 wins per year if you eliminated the last season). He had 8 consecutive winning seasons, 2 10+ win seasons, and four seasons of 9 wins. Good tenure, not great, but top 1/3 of the SEC during his time.
ETA: one major difference: Malzahn will actually recruit. AU fans won't have to make comments about a guy "fitting our system" as long as Gus is there. That guy gets after it on the recruiting trail in a way Tubs didn't for the last 3-4 years at AU.

Saban absolutely had a lot to do with Tuberville getting the axe. I think even Auburn fans would tell you that.

While I think they are being overrated like hell this offseason, they do have a bright future. By year three of Muschamp that defense will have nearly caught up with the offense.
I say similar things with TAMU. If Chavis could keep that defense from just not being down right hideous (9th, 14th, and 14th in total defense in the SEC, and 7th, 14th, and 11th in scoring defense), they are going to be a force. Kyler Murray in 2-3 years, will be Johnny Manziel with a defense.

No sir. Not a chance.
CBB doesn't need an offensive assistant that doesn't know real American football.

After he craps the bed this year Auburn fans will start growing tired of him like they do with every coach they have.

I think he'll be a good coach. He's the only SEC coach, sans Saban, that I would for sure trade Miles for right now.

Oh please, you all are sucking that lard asses' dick because that's what you're stuck with right now. You were singing the exact opposite tune 4 years ago when everyone told you what a jackass Petrino was. Only then, it was he was misunderstood and it was all Auburn, Louisville and Arthur Blank's fault. Until he finally fricked you like everyone else knew he would. Now you idiots are making the same excuses for a 400 lb. Lane Kiffin that can't keep his fat foot out of his fatter mouth. Rinse, repeat.

I could agree with that for the most part. Tuberville didn't want to make a lot of changes and kept a core crew (Duck Hunting and BBQ Crew) around until they got their tenure so they could get AL retirement benefits. He brought in Franklin set up to fail, but wouldn't change the other failures.
Saban exposed him but Tuberville was not doing the Auburn football program any favors. Did he have a gripe over jetgate (Petrino)? Yes, but he could have quit and went on his way, but he chose to stay and owed the school and fans the best product. If he would have got rid of his buddies he might even still be the AU coach (Doubt it because this is where Saban comes in)???
Saban changed the recruiting game in Alabama. Tubs going after 2 and 3 stars and coaching them up was going to hurt him eventually.

He'll have a good record at auburn but finish with a losing record vs. Miles, Richt, and Saban.

Non bias opinion, Gus is one of the best offensive coaches in the game who gets the most out of his offensive talent. If he ever got a defensive coordinator that did the same, look out.
Biggest aspect of this season is that Jeremy Johnson is the first QB that Gus has had the time and opportunity to groom into a starter. Up to this point, Gus has to plug in a new Qb every year and make it work. And he had done so with alarming success. Chris Todd, Cam Newton, Khiel Frazier and Nick Marshall were widely successful under his watch. Couple of record setting seasons and a few championships to go with it.

Its pretty fun to watch a competent defense actually. I can understand an Auburn fan not getting that though
