Word was he was beat out by Del Rio last spring but due to transferring Del Rio had to sit. Now the Gators have added Franks, I guess Grier saw the writing on the wall.

It's a tough spot to be in. He's got to sit for 6 games next year. By that point Franks could have already cemented himself as the starter, then Grier has to transfer and sit out another year.
