It's pretty sad that the Gator's two best coaches ever both decided to leave the school for greener pastures.

Spurrier left for the NFL to see how he would do at the next level. I mean lets face it, his 10 yr run was pretty friggan good at UF.

Meyer saw hard times coming without a QB and faked illness to leave to go to the daddy of the big 10 where you play 1-2 tough games a season and the rest you can phone in.

Atleast UF coaches leave on their own for what could be said to be better reasons. Tenn coaches leave because they get tired of UF tappin that arse.

What a weird situation this is.

Is he going Juco or Div II? I guess then he could play next year, right?

Next year would have been a rough situation no matter what. Florida would already have a starter for half the season before the kid was even eligible to play again.

I love when fans have to go back a lifetime for when their fav team had a glimpse of a run to make them feel good. Especially when they are bashing a team that has won a few NCs in the past 10 yrs.

Juco would be my guess... then he can transfer anywhere he wants without UFs restrictions... and he could get some playing time.

I wish the kid the best in his future, but lets face it its not like he was Manning or some great player. He played well but I never saw a game and thought damn this kid is a beast. I think its just amplified now that ppl see how BAD Treon Harris is.

Lol....kid had some serious potential. Love how Gator fans are downplaying this and act like a guy who's never played is going to be their savior.

I will say if Grier were playing against UT next year, I would be very worried about that game.

His best game. 24/29 271 yards 4 tds. look at the highlights, had some good throws but most of the yards came after the catch because the WRs made plays blocking down the field.

vs Tenn he was 23/42 283 yards 2 td's 1 int.

Yeah we could never duplicate these stats. Again, good player but stop acting like hes the 2nd coming.

Exactly we heard the same shite last year

Grier fricked us royally I really don't mind moving on to the next guy

If Mac develops another qb on the fly we officially have the quarterback whisperer

SEC ready qbs like Grier don't just fall off trees. You got lucky last year having him in your roster. Will be surprised if there's another one ready to go like he was.

Yea well Grier was trash to everybody on here until he he lit up ole miss

We knew what we had in Grier and that was good but he started what like 4 games then got suspended for an entire year and possibly cost UF an sec championship frick him lol now I'm all about Feleipe Franks or who ever we end up going with

Mac won with McElroy, McCarron, Grayson etc before getting to UF then had Grier looking good super fast i trust him

Now If we hadn't landed Franks or Del Rio this would suck a lot more we'd have to wait til the 2017 class to find our QB

And if coach Mac didn't like the QB situation going into next years there's actually some solid transfers out there I bet he could win with Trevor Knight
