Or maybe it forces Saban to actually call his timeouts and they score a TD.

I won't say that's not possible, but to have a no call on a blatant PF like that at that point in the game, you just can't say that it didn't have any effect on the game.

Did it cause uga to lose? You can't say that it 100% did, but it was a pretty big missed call.

Shoulder hits are legal and the QB put himself in the cross hairs. He will not get a suspension. Not going to happen. Murray should have put on his big boy pants.

Was the hit on AJ legal?

First off Murray should have ran faster to assist in the tackle or get out of the way

My point was Murray was not trying to make a play. Dial targeted him. It was a dirty play, but believe what you want.

That's a ridiculous load of crap. You don't leave a guy unblocked because you judge that he might not be trying to make the play when he's jogging towards your runner. I don't give a crap whether he's in a football position (head up, tail down, back straight) or not. You block him with aggression.

the only problem is that the helmet-to-helmet part should have been flagged.

What is really sad is that if you expand the view, you will notice this was done right in front of an official. No call.

It is really sad that people are trying to defend this hit. Watching the replay it was very deliberate, completely unnecessary, and very dirty. Bama you won the game, just walk away with that and be happy. You don't need to sit here and justify this hit. It was wrong.

You might want to get your eyes checked if you missed the obvious helmet to helmet contact.

I can agree with this. Tree's was less obvious but you haven't seen me say otherwise about either being legal.

He led with the shoulder, BUT ENDED UP HITTING HIM IN HIS HELMET IN A VIOLENT COLLISION.

How is this so hard to understand?

There was nothing wrong (by the rules) with Dial "targeting" Murray in that case. It was a live play and no one (outside of LSU fans) would care if Dial lowered the boom on a lineman there.

People are being fricking stupid about this. Defensive players love getting a hit on the QB on an interception return. It's widely known.

The issue is that it was helmet to helmet. That's it. It should have been a penalty, but only because of that.

Then they will also have to suspend the Georgia player who got the helmet to helmet penalty for hitting McCarron.
