Richt, Zook, Muschamp and Les had elite talent. Smart hasn't shown anything to think he is any different. Some will argue that he underachieved.

A lot of parity in the SEC when those coaches were around. The SEC East is becoming a dumpster fire as far as talent is concerned. UGA is about to become the only team propping that side of the conference up if McElwain doesn't figure out how to recruit in his own state.

Agreed. UGA has been recruiting top 10 for a while now and at one point didn't they have a team loaded with future NFL players along with Stafford? They've also been picked to win the East every year since Urban Meyer left Florida...I'll believe Kriby is some kind of juggernaut when I see it.

The difference is those Top 10-15 classes were only good enough to be maybe Top 5 or so in the SEC. That's what happens when you have to recruit against Saban, Meyer, Les, Spurrier, etc...
The difference will be obvious in a couple years. The SEC East is sucking arse in recruiting right now, and UGA is about to haul in one of the top ranked classes of all time.

UGA rarely played Bama and UF and TN was a crap shoot (minus the UM years. UGA has the best recruiting base in the SEC and yet they have nothing to show for it.

We've been picked to win the East every year? Where do you people come up with this shite.

Problem with the east is QBs. Luckily the situation is improving with new uppercomers in Bentley and missou QB

The only reason GSU exist is because of UGA's
admissions office.

UGA won't be dominating anything with Jim Chaney dialing up the plays.

Ut may have dominated the east in 2012 if they had a defense.

the stupid in this thread is overwhelming...

UT had an offense littered with NFL talent. Hunter and Patterson were leagues ahead of any WRs Georgia has, and we had a better O line than you'll have next season.

UGA has always had the better QBs in the SEC, yet still couldn't accomplish anything. Now that The SEC is upgrading at that position, look for little to change at UGA.

with one of the worst OLs and inconsistent defenses. We also haven't had a dominant DL in probably 10 years.
OL is upgrading in a major way and defense is getting shored up big time.
It's funny that everyone is going out of their way to try to dismiss what UGA is doing. Fear I suppose.

Fear is probably the only word that doesn't come to mind when you think about UGA.
Dismissing UGA is the norm, as perennial underachievers should be treated as such

You're a gt/gsu fan.
2 schools that throughout the entirety of football's existence have been owned and dominated by UGA.
You have no room to talk, alter.

We've won 8-10 games with Mason, Lambert, and Eason. I doubt we slip at all, especially since we have Eason for two more years.

No, just use to the same song coming out of UGA. They would always find a way to lose to a couple of inferior teams each year. I saw it at least three times this year.
