That class was at 285 with an 89 average. Our current class will be one of the ten best ever with an average of 93 and we're at 300 with several big fish left. They aren't that close.

Richt coached here what 13-14 years. He could get good skill players but he routinely lagged on both lines of scrimmage. Current commits of his: 3 OL and 1 DT, both low 3 stars with a 4 star OT.

UGA is now a program that puts a premium on those positions. Bama and LSU fans ain't complimenting the direction cause they like us. They sense something brewing. Can't wait until talent at OL develops like it can. DL is already getting there.

The ole miss class you cited, that did count for arbitrary standards, had a 90 average...

Butch had a elite recruiting class.

And yet they were separated by less than a point. Utk class will have first rounders too. Why are you making this difficult.

I bet you think Chemtrails are just exhaust fumes.

Barnett is a given

Kamara would have been a late first rounder had he been used in his first year and a half here

Sutton and JRM would have been 2nd round picks if they stayed healthy this season

The players in said class still have two full years to develop.

What is it with Bama fans sucking so much UGA Dick lately with all these threads?

Shouldn't Kirby, ya know, try beating Florida or UT or even GT first before crowning him?

Dawgs "lost" to Vowels because of refs turning blind eyes to three PI's in the end zone to squeak away with a last second win over a very young team with a TF QB. Now Butch's brick house is crumbling. UT can't sustain a program with just TN players and can't recruit outside of the state anymore. Creates a good bit of butt hurt from Vowel fans but they better get used to it. It's their future.

Yup, just saw that and am too lazy to edit. 2015 won't have any first rounders but that's due to the utter lack of player development that's plagued this staff, not so much the potential they had coming out of HS.

Kirkland still possibly could if he gets healthy and reverts back to how he was playing as a true freshman last season. KMac, Kyle Phillips, Preston Williams, Jack Jones, Tuttle, and Richmond were all top 10 prospects in their respective positions. Injuries have played a part with some of them, but overall they have not really lived up to the expectations yet.

This is no doubt a very good recruiting class for Georgia this year but it's funny that Georgia fans are trying to put it on the same level as what Alabama has done over the last several years.

Even just this year, Alabama has 3 of the top 10 composite recruits. Alabama has been able to get 3-5 of the top 20-30 composite recruits every year for the last 5-6 years. Georgia has maybe 1 top 30 composite recruit this year. And let's be honest, once you get past the top 40-50 players on these recruiting sites, it's a crap shoot any way.

Looking at the class, it's obvious that Smart is benefiting from some highly rated players from the state of Georgia this year. It's very possible that recruits from the state are being overvalued this year. We won't know for several years.

IMHO Eason is not the answer and unless they find a new QB and Kirby learns how to be a HC, UGA will stay upper middle of the east, but not 1st.

Eta: for all the UGA fans about to get their panties in a wad. I'm not the only one saying this. ATL sports radio 92.9 & 680 are saying the same things.

Eason is well ahead of where Stafford was as a frosh. If he doesn't progress, then what you think will have credence. Until then, it doesn't.
