However, why is Colquit's NSD, one thats supposed to be about the players; seemingly Rush Propst look at what I've done day? Why is he making the announcements? What an A$$!

Judging from his tone it would appear to me that he felt one of his players had been slighted ... and/or possibly that the new UGA staff refused to listen to his advice about offering Pollard earlier perhaps?

Whatever the case, in essence, he obviously took offense at the cold shoulering by UGA and decided to make his feelings known publicly - and the signing day ceremony offered him his best chance to be heard by the most people.

It worked.

As far as how it might play-out in the future, with kids at that particular HS when it comes to UGA and Smart recruiting there ... who knows. It's been said that the HS coaches hold a great deal of sway over their players' decisions. I know for a fact that Spurrier, Jr., offended some HS coaches here in SC and that is why he was not retained by mUSChamp. So, as to whether or not this might cost UGA a player or two down the road - no one knows, not yet anyways.

I'm just happy to know that none of this had anything to do with Pollard's character or work ethic. He's probably just happy to get away from all the crap this has stirred-up.

We had this player a decade and a half ago or so ... named Ryan Brewer. White kid. Was player of the year in the state of Ohio but John Cooper would not recruit him or offer him a scholarship ... he ended-up signing here, at SCAR.

Ironically Brewer almost single-handedly beat Cooper and Ohio State in the 2000 Outback Bowl and it basically cost Cooper his job ... but Cooper was man enough to walk out on the field after the game and admit to Brewer that he was wrong for not recruiting him. That was a class act.

Sometimes things workout that way and I think the Probst guy was alluding to something along those lines ... hoping that something like that comes to fruition, at least based up the actual words he spoke and tone he used in the video.

Did Cooper run a 5.0 in the forty? There's no way Pollard is faster.

Rush must have an account here. Looks like he downvoted your post.

No ... he was probably a little faster than that with a football in his hands.

He was not one of the fastest guys on the team - but no one caught him with the football in his hands either.

Pollard, it's been said, is not quite as fast but he runs great routes and he has great hands ... who knows, we'll see. He's faster than 5.0 though and you know it.

He mentions SCAR winning the kid over in the end, but I'm just curious as to what went down with UGA and why, or how, Kirby may have dropped the ball on this kid?

You do realize that Kirby didn't take over until a month before signing day, right?

Of course you did.

Not hate. Never hate.

Now - amusement? Oh yeah.

But hey, if it makes you feel better to be hated than laughed at, well, do what you gotta do man.

I'm sure he spoke with recruits on phones, but he was also preparing for a National Championship game.

I'm not sure exactly what difference it makes, anyway. We picked up some pretty decent WRs. I think we'll be ok.

Everyone on here is missing the point of the original post. OP wants confirmation that MUSChamp out recruited Bama, FSU, Arkansas, UGA and Auburn for one of the top WRs in the country.

We signed 4 pretty good WRs in this class.

Maybe there's enough good FB players for all of us?
