Never heard of him until now, so I'm assuming Auburn's offer was conditional on if we missed on Nate Craig-Myers.

Rush Probst coached my HS when I was there, Hoover HS. Rush is a great guy who really genuinely cares about his players and will do anything he can for them, so this speech is not surprising from him. Pollard ain't he best offensive player he ever coached though, when he was at Hoover he had Chad Jackson who was a 5*, #2 WR in the country and went to Florida and ended up a 2nd round draft pick.

Another UF receiver I'd forgotten about the other day when discussing SEC WR talent differentials... thanks!

Okay ... finally, now we're getting to the cause and causality.

Now I understand.

So there are bad feelings between this high school and UGA.

Gotcha.

Wait a second ... once again someone is calling Probst a liar. Because what you typed above is not what Probst said. He said Pollard was the best he's ever had.

Okay, so ... anyways.

All of this is what I needed to know, thanks. A lot can be deduced from this thread and the responses, thanks again.

You ask questions and then get your feelings hurt when it is negative.

You're a delicate flower

Well, that's like someone calling him Rush. Both names just fit him.

Piss off you senile old bastard, I didn't call Probst a liar.

I'm sure Pollard did get an AU offer, just not one that was immediately committable. That's normal in recruiting, and not a lie by Probst.

Probst didn't say Pollard was the best he ever had, he said "I don't know that I've ever had an offensive player with his skill set before."

There's nothing wrong with paining your players in the best possible light.

Probst is a good guy, who genuinely cares about his players. Yeah, he had a sleazy personal and sex life a decade ago. But he didn't bring that to work with him. I saw Probst and I saw Niblett at Hoover, and trust me any of you would be lucky to have your sons play for Probst compared to that fake arse "good Christian" Niblett who cares more about his image than his players.

I wonder why he didn't mention Arkansas, he was committed for awhile and we were always on him as far a I know.

yup

bert evaluation was spot on first. then everyone else jumped on bert's jock. nothing new here. if not for location, he would still be committed to Arkansas

Auburn signed the #6, #9, and #20 receivers nationally. Kind of explains why we didn't offer this kid
with the 6th and 9th being ranked number 1 before committing to Auburn depending on the site

Everyone on here is missing the point of the original post. OP wants confirmation that MUSChamp out recruited Bama, FSU, Arkansas, UGA and Auburn for one of the top WRs in the country. Didn't happen, but anything less than an acknowledgment that it did and grumps here will be rustled and lash out.

OP has changed the point of his thread several times on his own to reveal why he really made it.
