AU most certainly did offer Pollard.

Or is he lying?

It's Probst so he's lying

Have fun with your 100th ranked wr in that awesome muscham offense

Sounds like you deduced what you wanted before you started this thread.

A couple of follow up questions, was probst that coach when MTV did a tv show on hoover? cuz that guy did seem like a douche. Also, did a little research on Pollard vs Cooper, which I'm glad yall like Pharoh and all, but the fact of the matter is Pollard was ranked higher out of high school than Cooper. Not to take anything away from him because he was hands down the best player on our team for the last couple of years, but to immediately dismiss Pollard seems unfair.

No one is "dismiss"ing Pollard immediately or otherwise. He could be a very good one, we'll have to wait and see, just like any recruit, regardless of 'stars'. But, right now, it is what it is.

mUSChamp has done what he has to do - pick the very best of the leavings after the better programs have had their feeding frenzy. Nothing wrong with that, and there have been plenty of 3 stars that have gone on to perform way above their ranking. Good on 'em.

But, in the meantime, don't pretend his recruitment was something it wasn't.

I never implied anything regarding his recruiting. You can check my posts if you like. We flipped him from Arky. Did UGA or AU offer last minute? Don't know and don't care. That's normal if they did and wouldn't think anything about it.

I believe Rush wanted the OC job at UGA last yr and Richt did not even consider him, it's frankly sour grapes. His antics off the field have caused him to miss out on coaching at the college level which has always been his dream. I really don't have any doubt he would be a great college coach but at his age and the baggage he carries he will finish his career at the HS level. I believe he's the highest paid HS coach in state and makes 130K plus which is a pretty good living in Colquitt County.

WTF?

Care to quote where I got my feelings hurt?

lulz ... sheesh. Sometimes the assumptions that are made are beyond imagination. I mean I get the inherent problems involved with the absence of voice inflection and facial expression on message boards ... but to claim that I got my feelings hurt ... you could not be any more incorrect.

To the contrary ...

May have been the difference between keeping and losing his job. Probably the wrong decision for Richt, but the right decision for us. Schotty was pretty awful.

Everyone on here is missing the point of the original post. OP wants confirmation that MUSChamp out recruited Bama, FSU, Arkansas, UGA and Auburn for one of the top WRs in the country. Didn't happen, but anything less than an acknowledgment that it did and grumps here will be rustled and lash out.

Oh good lord ... that is so pathetic of you to claim.

My reasoning was simple. It was not clear to me why so many wanted him, why things turned so personal in his signing day ceremony, and why so few admit they wanted him ... yet he somehow, some way, decided at the last minute to sign with SCAR.

My worry was that something was wrong with the kid ... that everyone backed off of him for some unstated, unknown reason that I thought might come out in this thread.

Instead, as usual on the SECr, the bullshite ensued. lulz

His known offer sheet in late January tells us who wanted him undoubtedly. What happened after that is debatable, but it's not a stretch to think this kid picked sc over ark because those were his best 2 sec offers. Afterall, columbia is much closer for a ga kid. Easily the better choice Imo.

I never changed the point of this thread ... not once.

I merely responded to the surprisingly defensive, even catty, thread drift that went everywhere from the HS coach being a perverted sex offender to no one wanting Pollard to the HS coach being a liar for saying what he said in the video I provided to ... well, this thread sorta went off track and I was not expecting that.

What I deduced, by weeding out the bullshite, is that everything thinks we got ourselves a leftover after all the others got theirs ... and there is bad blood between Probst and UGA, and maybe Auburn I'm not sure. And Arkansas fans believe the only reason he ended-up at SCAR was because of distance. And Pollard's HS coach hopes Pollard scores a winning TD in Athens against UGA and and several others at that ceremony evidently agreed.

That's all.

Oh, and Pollard is not a bigger faster version of Pharoh Cooper as I claimed ... even though he is actually a bigger faster version of Pharoh Cooper.

Cooper was actually rated lower than Pollard out of HS. Cooper is smaller. Pollard shows a faster HS 40 than Cooper did and .... hey, they even have the same mannerism at this stage in their lives.

But that drew the most adolescent giggles from the peanut gallery when, I was just wondering out loud ... that's all. No offense to any of you fricktards intended.

In '07 Saban was about hire Propst for that analyst job that a lot of HS coaches use to break into college coaching. Then the affair scandal broke and Saban instead went with Propst's DC from Hoover, Jeremy Pruitt.

But you're stupid if you really believe that Propst is stupid enough to think that a school like Georgia is going hire a HS coach and that he would hold ill will over it.

Propst really is a good coach and would've been a good college coach had he been able to keep it in his pants. It's ironic though that his sexual antics helped launch Pruitt's college career when Pruitt was running around Hoover banging a lot of the same women that Propst was. Lucky for Pruitt that he's almost 20 years younger than Rush and hadn't yet had a chance to get married and then have a kid with a mistress.

The kid seems to be a project, based on his rankings, stats, and measurements.
He might turn out to be good.

However, why is Colquit's NSD, one thats supposed to be about the players; seemingly Rush Propst look at what I've done day? Why is he making the announcements? What an A$$!

As has been mentioned I have read every recruiting article written for Auburn this year and never heard the kids name mentioned. It is possible Auburn reached out to him or even gave him a conditional offer (NCM had them a bit nervous) that he spurned but there is zero chance he had a committable offer. CRP like many coaches was spinning in favor of his player...that is what a good coach does. CRP like many coaches is an egomaniac and the truth is rarely in his words.
