It really does

I don't know what Hurts has to do with Stidham, but okay

Stidham has been lights out the last two weeks.

Against an FCS secondary and the worst team in the SEC and what I am sure is a bottom 5 P5 secondary.

I will be bumping this thread next Monday. It's pretty obvious you haven't watched much of Auburn this season.

ETA If you are judging Auburn by the Clemson game, who has the best resume in the nation, then you haven't been paying attention to Auburn football.

Your QB has multiple games with under 100 yds passing this year. I'd be quiet about other team's QBs.

I get it, you can only beat the teams you play, but you all are completely buying back in to Stidham for performances he had against fricking Mercer and Mizzou? Seriously?

I chose this game this week because it is the most interesting to me. Georgia vs Tennessee is going to be a snooze fest

You may be switching over to the UGA/UT game by halftime.

We are buying back in because it's obvious he has knocked the rust off. It's obvious he is more comfortable with the O. I don't give a damn who you are playing.....completing 45-54 is impressive. The truth is......Stidham is beginning to show he is exactly who we thought he was.

Give them that. It's all Auburn is going to have for them this season.

QB - UGA
RB - UGA
OL - Draw actually
WR - UGA
DL - UGA bigly
LB - UGA very, very bigly
DB - UGA

Gonna be a barn burner

This game is going to come down to redzone plays by our offense. I dont think the wildcat will be as productive this week. Gus is going to have to find some pass plays that work in the redzone. It is going to be a close game.

Easy to "knock the rust off" when playing an FCS opponent and the worst secondary in the league

You should because it matters. Remember last season when you all "figured it out" in the middle of the season, but it all came unraveling after you started playing teams with a pulse?

If he completes 60% plus of his passes Saturday I may agree, but I'm not going to re-crown him based of performances against fair, fair inferior defenses. Get real. Mizzou State lit up Mizzou.

thinking it should be an old fashioned boring SEC West 17-13 type game either way.

I attended the 3-2 shoot out in Starkville. That game set the Guinness world record for boring.

Stidham isn't who Auburn hoped he would be
He is pretty much what I thought he would be. A good qb, with an accurate/strong arm shoe horned into an offense that doesn't focus on his strengths.

quote:

OL/DL - State: I know Auburn fans aren't going to like this, but I think State's DL will have more of an impact on the game than Auburn's.
I don't know which will have the biggest impact on the game, but I expect both d lines to out play the opposing offensive lines.

quote:

LB - State: With Stidham not being a running threat, Pettway only being able to go up the middle and Johnson only being able to go to the outside, Auburn's run attack may be easier to scheme against. State on the other hand may be able open some things up if their o-line can dominate the LOS which will be tough. Being that Fitz can pose a bigger threat with his legs, I think Auburn's LBs will have the tougher road
Auburn lb play has been outstanding. Really need Tre Williams at 100 percent for this game though.

Stopped reading here.

The last two weeks stats for Stidham........

45/54 582 yards passing.
Mercer and Mizzou

You do understand that he can only "light it up" against the teams we play. Yes it was only Mercer and Mizzou and he he was running for his life against Clemson but to say he has been Pedestrian is fricking dumb. He has been very good against the only teams he has played other than Clemson. They just happen to be bad

I am sorry but Stidham is starting to get his stride. I know it was the sexy thing to say sound here week 1 and 2 that he was a failure but that is not the case anymore.

And to say State has is better at LB is just lulz

Hurts is fourth in the country in QBR. He's yet to have a turnover.

Too much is being made of MSU's LSU win and the UGA loss. It is about matchups and Auburn will do well against MSU without Dak Prescott. Way too much is being made about an 8 point loss to the defending NC at their place. If we can slow down Clemson, we can slow down MSU. Our offense is improving, our Kicker is money from 50 (2 last week) and that maybe the difference. I am looking at at a 23-14 type game.
