Neither will 115 other D1 teams. Can't control who plays for the BCS Championship and not playing for one doesn't mean your team/coach sucks. Ask Auburn about going undefeated and not playing for a BCS title. We will win atleast one SEC championship in that time and that is all you can control.

how are we moving in the wrong direction? I didn't realize that we made no changes after only winning 8 games. You would have a valid point if we did nothing. As of now you are at best guessing on if we are moving the wrong way.

No, and the players admitted they got somewhat complacent in their attitude after having so much success over the last few years. Three top five finishes, two SEC west titles, one SEC title and one National Title will do that to you. From all accounts, they are out to prove that last year was a fluke and are focused on making Baton Rouge "Title Town, USA" once again.

OSU was 7-5 in this decade (2001). From '99 to '01 they had 15 losses.
'96 to '01 USC had 5 losses or more each year. They weren't good in the 90's either.
