True, saying "clearly better" makes more sense than "Not even close". Those 18 games told a story that only LSU fans choose to ignore.

Lets also look at the injury argument. Melvin Gordon was completely healthy his senior year and had a monster year. And Todd Gurley was coming off ACL surgery, but who got drafted first, Gurley went ahead of Gordon, oh by the way Gurley ended up winning NFL offensive rookie of the year.

Gurley had a very different injury though. Don't think we will see the same chubb.

Measuring/Rating these 3 RBs is fun...but the real measure is the OL they run behind and how their OCs use them.
Likely all will be 1st Round NFL Picks...the drafting teams will be looking for "Fit" into theirs offenses.

Does him getting drafted higher give LSU a retroactive trophy or something? I never understood the potential NFL argument.

Nick just isn't in the same league as LF as far as size and strength
This is simply not true. LF maybe taller, but that's as far as it goes for the size argument. I would have to dig it up, but Chubb was also proven to be stronger in one of the previous threads on this argument.

While Leonard Fournette couldn't get on the field as a freshman behind the likes of..... Nick Chubb rushed for 1,500 yrds sharing a backfield with Todd Gurley and Sony Michel
When both were healthy Chubb was clearly, yes clearly better. Fournette's rise was happening at the beginning of the year and then Chubb got hurt so we might never know.
My only question is, is the op an alter?

Seem to remember Chubb going over 100 last season against Bama's D. I seem to remember laughing at LF the whole game against Bama's D. And UGA was awful on offense.

Compare the first 18 games of their careers to see if he is wrong and you are right.

Chubbs knees are weaker than LSU passing game

Chubb was clearly better in 2014. Fournette was clearly better in 2015, and yes, that's even if you only count before Chubb got hurt.
This should be the end of the argument. When healthy, you're splitting hairs between the two.

Chubb averaged more yards per carry in 2015, so that doesn't actually make sense.

So you only include the first 5 games of 2015 when it works better for Chubb?
Through the first 5, which you're fine using for your 18 game argument, Fournette had almost 300 more yards, 5 more TDs, and a higher YPC than Chubb.
So, as I said, Fournette was clearly better in 2015, just as Chubb was clearly better in 2014.

Congratulations on avg more YPC on only 92 carries.

YPC and common opponents. Somebody run those numbers and we should have a consensus for LSU people.

Chubb was clearly better before Injury, counting games from both 14 and 15, and fournette was clearly better after the injury. The before and after stats will blow LSU fans minds.

It doesn't really matter how you try to spin it. In 2015, Fournette was better than Chubb.
Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it untrue.
