Would not surprise me if he leaves after another 5 years, he should make a run for the NC in 2011/12. If he wins one he may leave. I really think he may burn out it is wound pretty tight..

Saban will stay in T-town. He's loves it there, his family loves it there, he loves his job.

Sounds a lot like me and my job. Good for him. I wish I was good enough at anything that someone wanated to pay me 4 million a year to do it.

The answer to your question is how he has handled each of his moves. To think Bama is different(which each school/NFL team thought they were) is natural to feel that way. Only Saban knows and he will do what ever he wants to do as long as Sexton delivers the cashola.

That is what I would do also, exactly what I wanted to do to make me happy.

Saban is happy and having a great time at Bama. I don't know personally but we share a mutual friend and that is what he says.

If he's not associated with LSU....who cares!

Honestly, I think he retires at Bama. Where else is he going to go? He realized he screwed up when he left LSU for Miami, so pros out. The only school that might tempt him away from Bama is LSU, and there's too much water under that bridge.

I think he will stay at Alabama longer than people expect, but absolutely no way he retires there.

I wasn't actually responding to you about the retiring thing, it was just a coincidence, but I also would not want him back in the purple and gold. Not only do I like the guy we have a lot better, I would rather not go after the biggest name out there, should Les's tenure end. I'm more into up and comers.

I was friends with several players that were on the 2003 and 2004 team. They told me Saban changed a lot after the National Championship. He seemed to not get any enjoyment out of coaching during the 2004 year.
A lot of players on the team were thinking about leaving early for the draft, quitting, or transferring. It was a "toxic" situation. The assistant coaches were all looking for new jobs even before Saban announced he was going to Miami.
I believe the same thing will happen at Bama. If it happens after a NC then I am sure you guys will be happy with that trade. I know I was.

Easily one of the most retarded comments I have seen on here.

i think he's happy. need to consider his age and the pace of his life and the fact he'sa micro manager (understatement). he's burning the candle at both ends and has for awhile and seemingly does not know how to relax. I say he'll coach at Alabama 'till he completely burns out and then retires with a major chunk of money. he also might be a candidate for poor health early. if he leaves bama, the sec loses and lsu/bama game loses some luster.

Saban's MO is to stay 5 years and move on to another opportunity. I think that thinking plus the crazy portion of the Ala. alumni will push Saban to Notre Dame. He would be godlike their and with ND's ability to recruit nationally would be to enticing for him to resist.

He will be there until he wins a NC. He might stay 3-4 years after that but not much IMO. Not because he doesn't like it or whatever, he is the kind of coach who relishes the challenge IMO. Once the program is back on top, he's not the kind of guy that gets off on keeping it there. Just the way I view him.

I'm not sure about that. He straight-up pussed out of Miami. That's not to say he's not a great college coahc, though. It just contradicts your "relishes cahllenges" theory.
