I could see that after he gets Miles canned and then moves on after a NC here.
This might be hard considering the fact that he has yet to outcoach Miles.

If you listen to the Tide fans here, it wasn't Nick Saban.

I don't think he's unhappy at Alabama. He isn't ecstatic and jumping for joy but certainly not unhappy.

and will leave for another job before he retires?
These next 2 yrs are critical for Bama if they are to hold on to him. If his recruits pan out and he can show a couple of 2 loss seasons or better, then he stays. If things go bad then he won't stick around. We've already seen how well he does under pressure with odds stacked against him(aka the Miami job). I know people are ready to annoint him the next coming of the Bear, but Saban knows the jury is still very much out.

Then why ask?

Aah yes. It's very joyful.

I don't think Nick Saban will be happy anywhere he coaches. He doesn't impress me as being a happy person and never has.
Saban will likely be at Bama another 2-4 seasons. He's a very good coach who is very difficult to work with. Bama boosters also have a reputation of being difficult. Something's got to give. I don't think he will move for money. He should have far more than he will ever need by now.
I don't think Nick Saban will ever be fired anywhere. If the pressure starts to mount, he will jump ship before Bama fires him. He may retire for a year, find out that it's driving him nuts and take another job the following year. He is a compulsive workaholic on steroids and expects those who work for him to work as feverishly as he does. His reputation for burning out assistants is well known.
When he leaves Bama, the cupboard will be stocked with plenty of good talent. Then, Bama will hire a very good coach who will probably stay much longer and be more pleasant to work with. Who isn't?

Nick doesn't have a problem at Bama, and I think he would stay there up to ten more years or so, but his wife is very unhappy. When she's ready to go, he'll pack his bags too
