It's only depleted when Mizzou wins the division, amiright.

USCe won the division in 2010 at 9-3. They lost to 2 of their 3 West division opponents (all 3 of their West teams finished in the top 12). No othed team in the East finished the season ranked outside of USCe, who was crushed in the SECCG and then lost their bowl game to finish 9-5. Minus Ole Miss (unranked), every team in the Western division finished in the top 15 (3 in the top 10). Same thing in 2011. UGA lost against two teams that finished in the top 10 in the first two weeks of the season, then went through the rest of the weak schedule without a challenge. They then got crushed in the SECCG and finish 10-4. Outside of their first two games, they faced no more pre scheduled teams that finished ranked. On the flip side, the West had 3 teams win 11 games, and those teams all finished in the top 5 of the CFB rankings.

Look, we aren't saying this just to take shots. The East has been down for a while now. Winning the East is great and all, but it doesn't really mean you are good. Unless you face the better teams in the other division and OOC, you won't know just how good your team really is until you are facing a West Side Headbusta in the conference championship

Yes,in fact you are...OK,where to start.
Gee,somehow you forgot to mention UGA's schedule in 2013 and the fact that we beat two top 15 teams ( USCe AND who was that other team? Oh yea,LSU)then lost our 1st and 2nd team RBs and WRs and eventually our starting QB the last 3rd of the season.(lost to the eventual SECc on one of the biggest fluke plays in the history of

flukes)

OK,lets talk 2012...five freakin yards away from a
SECC..not close to a blow out and no doubt we beat ND had we won that game.BTW 2-0 vs the SECw in reg season

I'll even talk about 2011...no doubt we got off to a slow start but by no means did USCe exactly lay a beat down on us early (typical USCe game that could have gone either way) Once again we also go 2-0 vs the SECw in the regular season. If you remeber the SECC game we had actually oougained you 135-12 at halftime but only led 10-3.One reason being we dropped 2 easy TD passes and missed a chip shot FG...2 punt returns later and a turnover deep in our own territory and the game was over...no doubt LSU was an outstanding team but we had lost our shot after we failed to capitalize on some easy opportunities in the first half.

OK,lets talk last year.Played 5 top 25 teams and beat 4 of them by an average of 26 pts and once again, lost our only game to a top 10 team in double OT...and once again,go 2-0 vs the mighty west...no doubt in my mind we play Bama much tougher in the SECCG game than Mizzou.
It is what it is though and we shite the bed vs UF and lost that opputurnity.

Do I really need to bring up how the SECw did last year during bowl season?Especially Ole Miss and MSU.

Finebaum made a few silly statements in regards to Mizzou today and I've read a few of them on this board.

1. Mizzou's loss to Indiana embarrassed the SEC

Did Arkansas not lose to LA Monroe a few years back? Didn't the Gators lose to an FCS school in 2013? Which is more embarrassing?

They did. Does that make Missoui's loss LESS embarrassing?

2. The Vols and Florida helped Mizzou win the East.

Was Tenn and Florida on the field with Mizzou when Mizzou beat UK, Vandy, A&M, and Arky? Did Florida and Tenn throw their games against Mizzou because we are all such great friends? I guess Florida was thinking, "We better beat UGA so Mizzou can win the East again."

Could you have won the East without Florida beating UGA? No. So, the win helped Missouri. Don't get me wrong....Missouri did what it took to win. But they got some help. Had Arkansas beat Missouri and UGA won the East, then Arkansas would have been helping UGA win the East. And we wish they HAD helped us. We needed it.

If your Aunt had balls she'd be your uncle......... maybe, depends on what gender she identifies with.

I'm tired of all the ifs and maybes. The season happened the way it did. UGA choked. Driskel played like shite against Mizzou and allowed our D and special teams to put up 29 points on the Gators. Indiana beat us and UGA stomped our arse into the ground. Mizzou dusted it's self off and trudged through the competition. A&M, Tenn. and Arky (Who just blew out 2 top 25 teams) could do nothing to stop Mizzou. We hit a road block in a championship game like we always do. That's what happened.

Dawg and Gator fans need to stop with the "what ifs", "well, this should of happened", and "but if our team would have done this" Well, they didn't. I thought the SEC was the grown man conference. Y'all whine like little kids.

Any SEC team losing to Indiana is an embarrassment, it is not all about Mizzou so don't let Paul troll you. Anytime a SEC drops one to the B1G it blows goats and you are at least somewhat out of the doghouse since Bama let Bucknuts beat them this past winter when it really mattered. What made it so bad was that the SEC east leader dropped one to the worst B1G football team historically. Just don't let that happen again, or at least lose to a Nebraska or Penn State in the B1G.

2. The Vols and Florida helped Mizzou win the East.

You are not listening. Not sure they are saying they affected Mizzou winning the east as much as the bigger picture that both are down which means the east is easier right now to win than the west. If the Gators snap back or the Vols awake from their post fat man slumber then yes, it will make it harder on Mizzou in the east. The bigger thing was Mizzou missing the Big 3 in the west (Bama, Aub, and LSU) when they won the east in the regular season. Just look at what happened when they got to the SEC CCG

2014 : 13 - 42 loss to Alabama (is this the worst arse whipping in an SEC CCG?)
2013 : 42 - 59 loss to Auburn (and score could have been much worse)

3. (This one is for the Ranters) Winning the SEC East isn't a big accomplishment.

It is an accomplishment, just not a big deal in the SEC. You should have watched enough SEC sports by now to understand the SEC focuses on winning the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS not the conference or division crap. Bama won the SEC CCG and UK won the SEC tourney, do you think either are happy not to have another NC trophy? Participation ribbons are the part and parcel of the other guys, he we want it all in every sport.

Mizzou won all their games with garbage arse schedule. Fire your AD and schedule some real games out of conference please

And it could've been closer, too. It ended up being 17 points.

Obviously not responsible for their confernce schedule and its not their fault they get A&M as their permanent rival. They scheduled 1 power 5 school OOC...par for the course for just about every SEC school (I believe we're the only team to schedule 2 in 14)

They did what the had to do win the East last year especially down the stretch something we couldn't do...hats off to em.

Mizzou must be the most disrespected 2 year defending division champ of all time.

It has nothing to do with the East. Just winning your division isn't a big accomplishment at all.

Also, it doesn't help if y'all keep getting your shite pushed in in conference title games.

It is amusing watching the fans of has been teams ridiculing Missouri for being more successful than they have been the last two seasons.

It doesn't matter if the East has been down, Missouri is better than all the other East teams.

If not for Missouri, it would be realllllly down. So, they bring that division some respectability.

It doesn't matter if Georgia beat them, Georgia didn't do what it took to win the East.

It doesn't matter if they are Yankee's, they are better than you.

It doesn't matter if they make it to the SEC Championship game and then get destroyed by unrepentant rebels who act like the war isn't over, at least they made it.

I would rather be a fan of a team that went to a championship game every single year and lost than a fan of team that wasn't good enough to even make it.

They are better than you. They are better than Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and all the rest of them in that division.

They deserve more respect than any of the other East teams during the last two seasons because they have earned it. They don't need to have your respect given to them, as if it's a gift, they apparently take what they need.

Sack up and prevent them from dominating your division or shut the frick up.
