Finebaum made a few silly statements in regards to Mizzou today and I've read a few of them on this board.
1. Mizzou's loss to Indiana embarrassed the SEC
Did Arkansas not lose to LA Monroe a few years back? Didn't the Gators lose to an FCS school in 2013? Which is more embarrassing?
2. The Vols and Florida helped Mizzou win the East.
Was Tenn and Florida on the field with Mizzou when Mizzou beat UK, Vandy, A&M, and Arky? Did Florida and Tenn throw their games against Mizzou because we are all such great friends? I guess Florida was thinking, "We better beat UGA so Mizzou can win the East again."
3. (This one is for the Ranters) Winning the SEC East isn't a big accomplishment.
So your telling me that winning a division in the "best" conference in college football isn't a big deal. Ya'll say how no other top team in the power 5 can come over and compete in the SEC. The way some of you talk it would mean that 114 FBS teams are dog shite compared to SEC teams, even Vandy. It's such a tough conference........except for the East. Well shite, why don't the West just pack up their bags and leave us shitty East teams and start their own conference? They can drop Arky since they barely made a bowl last year and pick up Ohio St., Flordia St., Oregon, and OU. They'll be the ESPN Super conference. Then the SEC (East) title will be the mediocre title that y'all act like it is. Hell, why have a championship game? Just award the title to who ever wins the West.
I was told that the SEC had the proudest fans but you make the conference look weak when you say that one of the divisions is garbage.

Congrats on the east title.
What top 25 programs did you beat last season?
I'm not picking on you solely. UGA was in the same boat in 2011.

UF at its worst since the 80's. UT at its worst since the 1800's.

Yep, I don't know why Mizzou fans take it like some huge insult, the East was really down when they entered and they benefited from it more than anyone, they timed the move perfectly to come in and have success. Doesn't take away the Division title either way, but you'd like for them to have not been blown out in the SECCG both times.

At the time we played them?
USC (because they beat UGA), UGA, A&M, Bama and Minnesota were all in the top 25 when we played them. We went 3-2. How they preformed after playing us is on them.
You guys beat a team or two that finished in the top 25. What did you have to show for it? You also lost to more unranked teams than Mizzou did.

Unconvincingly? Mizzou did it's job and won all their games in the second half of the season. It's not Mizzou's fault that UGA shite the bed against the Gators.
You win more games in the division then you win the division. I don't know how much more "convinced" you could be?

Yes, Mizzou won the East twice.
And both times went on to get embarrassed in the SEC championship game. Win one of those and maybe Mizzou would get some respect. As it stands, you've won a depleted East and then showed why the East is so inferior to the West.
