Did you really just set yourself up for a 'never-was' come back from me?

You Missouri fans are way too easy.

It's funny that the GA fans go with this Mizzou just isn't very good narrative but then include us as top 25 teams for "quality" wins to compare themselves to Mizzou.

Well, it's just that we beat you 34-0 at your place after we had just lost the best player in college football, so ... I mean, can you blame us for not being all that impressed with the 'quality' of Mizzou last season?

But regardless of what we think, Mizzou was ranked in the Top 25, so yeah, it's seen as a quality win, even if it wasn't really competitive. Get it now?

Finebaum got a real kick out of that.

I understand your frustration at the trajectories our two programs have taken.

However, it's nice to see the re-filling of the UT bandwagon has flushed you out of hiding.

I actually think OP makes a few good points - none of which would be excluded from any other east teams pov if the shoe was on the other foot. I just think the other east teams are rustled that mizzou just walked right up in their shite and set up shop.

Paul didn't get a salty vaj over Star's call, he actually found it amusing. Star admitted to being the one who was rustled. He actually said "I'm rustled."

The call was nothing more than a cry for respect. Then Paul laughed at the end.

1. Yes it was embarrassing, because Mizzou got lucky and won the east while the other teams sucked. They will run out of luck soon enough.

2. Yes they did. Both UF and UT are down right now and both player better games against UGA. If UF would have played the same way against Mizzou that they did UGA then it would have been a ugly beat down. The east wins a lot more SEC championships when UF is not down . The east is has been a joke in the SEC championship game since UF starting going down hill. It's said that UF is the last team in the east to win the SES championship and they just had Muschamp as the head coach for 4 year.

3. No winning the east is not a big deal when 2 of the power 3 are down. If Mizzou is so great why didn't they win the SEC championship game.

1. Mizzou's loss to Indiana embarrassed the SEC

The difference is Missouri won the East. The other teams you mentioned had bad seasons and weren't near the best in their division. It is embarrassing for the conference for the supposedly best team in the east to lose to Indiana.

Did Arkansas not lose to LA Monroe a few years back?

So did 'Bama under Saban. And LSU lost to UAB under Saban. Sh*t happens. Your point about Finescum is well-taken.

Yep, I don't know why Mizzou fans take it like some huge insult, the East was really down when they entered and they benefited from it more than anyone, they timed the move perfectly to come in and have success. Doesn't take away the Division title either way, but you'd like for them to have not been blown out in the SECCG both times.

You just can't convince some Mizzu fans of this fact. Same goes for TAMU (perfect conditions part), but I'll get to that later. Mizzu came year one, and they were not as bad as their injury prone first year record. They were also not as good as their last two seasons record either. It's just like Wisconsin. Wisconsin has nothing in their division bezide Nebraska, and didn't face any of the top 3 teams from the other division. That's how you end up winning your weak division Mizzu.

I posted before we played Wisky, and after, that they would win their division and finish out 10-2. When you don't play anybody that is really good, or even just good, you can't learn how really good your team is. You face a reality check once you do finally play a good team.

UGA was pretty good team last year, that lost badly in one of the historic rival games of CFB (it happens: ex Texas against Oklahoma a couple years back). Mizzu got lit up against UGA, a couple of weeks before, they lost to Illinois at home. Mizzu played one scheduled team that finished ranked last year and Wisconsin played zero. Then they wonder why they get crushed in their conference championship games.

The harsh reality is that Mizzu is 0-9 against teams that finish ranked in the top 10 since joining the SEC. That is not the sign of a good team.

TAMU came in year one with golden boy Manziel and freak WR Evans. They also had a defense that could keep opponents out of the EZ (26th in scoring defense). They came in perfect conditions and had a crazy pass attack (SEC was not use to) and an insane running game to boot (11th in the country). They caught everybody off guard and it helped that several of them teams one their schedule were complete garbage. TAMU fans were spoiled and duped by that. The last two years are more like what they are. They needed to see those last two years to realize that they need to have a good run game and at least a good scoring defense. IMO, Chavis will help y'all a great deal in keeping guys out of the EZ, but it won't be until late 2016 or the 2017 season. Y'all need to develop a run game. Your rushing has dipped drastically every single year in every single category (carries, ypc, yards, TDs). Develop a run game, recruit on defense, and within 3 years, you'll be one of the best in the SEC, no, the country.

I don't think any of us deny that 2012 was a perfect storm of sorts. We were an average big 12 team coming in and we all predicted a 6-6 type season in 2012. But instead we had a wild ride and lots of fun.

Recruiting has been solid and coaching has been improving. Good things for the future

I love these replies by UF and UT fans about how winning the East means nothing because other teams were down. As if you hillbillies and jort-wearing rednecks wouldn't have LOVED to win the East the past two years, no matter the records of the other teams! Hilarious.
