Auburn's going to have a preseason ranking

therefore they shall lose 4 games minimum

unranked in the preseason?

that's an Auburn national championship team right there

try and explain Auburn football the past 10 years

It may end up being high but Alabama has built up a lot of cache because of the following consistency:

2008: 12-2, final rank 6th

2009 (new QB): 14-0, final rank 1st

2010: 10-3, final rank 10th

2011 (new QB): 12-1, final rank 1st

2012: 13-1, final rank 1st

2013: 11-2, final rank 7th

In fact that averages to a 4th place finish. Maybe ESPN is just playing the averages.

i just wish they were consistent.

LSU loses a ton and the narrative is that even though we are recruiting lights out that we will take a step back..

Bama loses a ton and it's oh they will reload.

I hear this talking point a lot, but this ranking has LSU two spots higher than they finished in 2013. It has Bama three spots higher than they finished in 2013.

I see some consistency there.

If you remember in 2003 AU had a lot of talent coming back. The problem was they were trying to replace Bobby Petrino with Hugh Nall. Last time I looked Gus is still coming back.

To be fair, as I stated earlier, I think that ranking is too high for LSU, losing 2 wr's, 2 rb's, qb, and 1 ol, along with the defensive losses which are not nearly as much this year.

I will as soon as you move back to Alabama so my state can be rid of you once and for all.

Didn't you know? ULSU fans only care about rivalry games, not about final standings.

It doesn't have anything to do with you as a poster. It has everything to do with you growing up in Louisiana then deciding to be an Auburn fan. You're a traitor, plain and simple.

Oregon should be 1st imho.

Auburn should be lower.

Why is UNC ranked?

Texas should not be ranked.

Florida should not be ranked.
