List is BS without SEC team number 1.

How many national championship games in a row does the SEC have to win before the media realizes an SEC team should be number 1?

LSU is about the only team on this list that is ranked correctly.

Auburn at 3 EVEN THOUGH they lose Tre Mason, thier starting T, and thier Fullback. Georgia at 8 LSU at 12 This shite is a joke.

The first thing you look at when coming up with these early picks is returning QBs. AU returns their 1000 yard rushing QB and two RBs with over 600 yard rushing. AU is deep at the OL position and you have to expect the Defense to be better.

UGA at 8 puzzles me. I did not see anything out of their QB that makes me think they are a Top Ten Team.

LSU is about right. New QB and RB, with a lot of talent going pro.

Lets see Mason played well in his first two games and all off-season to get better. Of course the offense will be loaded again with Gurley, Mitchell, JSW, Marshall.

The defense returns virtually everyone ans should improve significantly under Pruit.

seems like good enough reason to put at 8

LSU isn't necessarily starting a new RB

Magee got a lot of PT last year

outrushed Hill in a few games IIRC

Running backs are the easiest position on the field to replace.

They're a dime a dozen, if you have a good offensive line.

Robinson was elite, but you've got multiple 4 and 5 star guys battling for that spot... with the other 4 starters returning. We'll be fine there.

Every team loses something every year. That's the nature of college football.

You think your team has lost less?

Remember where they finished this year (top 5). Based on their loses, it is reasonable that they would start ranked 11. They would be the SEC favorite otherwise.

I think you make a good argument as to why you won't drop off, but that's a lot different than why you should be #8.

Auburn can make the same argument as UGA, potentially better, but we're just holding ground, not making a huge move upward.

Auburn should be ahead of Oregon, and I would like Bama coming in lower. Of course, we realize the Coaches' Poll and the AP are a bit better at evaluating talent and depth than the crafty network-pluggers that made this poll.
