You want to know what's a miracle, UGA's opponents in 1980.

Easiest road to a NC ever?

And we beat a ND team with wins over 4 TOP 10 teams. Try harder

We've beaten Florida 3 straight times Didn't really lose a game we shouldn't in '12

But you could not win the game you had to win to achieve anything. What is Richt's career record against UF ?

I know it is frustrating to UGA Fans, but what other program in the country is more underachieving than the Dogs ? It is made worse watching the rest of the SEC play for all those BCSNCs.

So UGA was like a Boise State type team that year? Fair enough.

Imposed our will just like we did every other team that year. We also came close in 81 and 82. We lost the title game in 82 and we lost to the eventual winner Clemson in 81. I know your trying to hate but I guess all those beatings Richt has layed on AU really hurt your egos.

One BCSNC and two BCSNCGs.

I'm not hating. Everyone needs a little help getting the NC. For UGA, that was having a schedule full of teams with losing records. There's no shame in that.

I know they're still loaded with talent, but damn that's high to just have lost AJ

I kind of thought they were a little high, along with LSU and A&M, since they both replace good to great QB's. You could possibly include UGA in that as well, but they have shown a great ability to replace QB's in Richts time there.

And it was 35 years after their last one. They stumbled into Vince Young. They also have more resources than UGA

You know the most ironic and painful twist to UGA Fans has to be Auburn winning one BCSNC and playing in two with Georgia products playing QB. In the meantime UGA has recruited the top QBs from TX and FL and have not sniffed an SEC Championship in 9 years.

Florida should be ranked. Top 10 recruiting classes every year and they get their QB back. Surely they won't have injuries like last year.

So AU should have been ranked last pre-season?

(not speaking in hindsight of course)

UF will be fighting for WM career. We will see how bad the players want to keep him.

In terms if things that cause UGA fans pain, I don't think this is in the top 20, and Marshall isn't even considered in that.

They just know game managers aren't hard to replace. It won't be the same, but it'd be hard to expect any major dropoff. I'd be more concerned with losing some of those offensive lineman.

Defense wins championships, and Alabama has some significant defensive losses. Alabama will be rebuilding a secondary that wasn't that strong this offseason. HCD, Sunseri, and Belue are all gone. Cornerback is still a question mark. Pass rushing is still under development.
