I'm fairly confident they can win at least 3 more wins. Even if they lose to UCLA, they just need to go 3-5 in conference. I think that is more likely than not.

I agree that they pick up wins over 3 out of Auburn, Arky, State, UCLA, and OM. But 6 isn't a terrible O/U.

Nah the piggies love Bert, because he is arrogant and has a loud mouth. They also think he hires good assistants. Any other coach and they would have already flown banners.

Maybe I did overstate it a little but I thought they were 7 for some reason and that is a big change betting wise. I would be very surprised if they don't win 6 and that was my main point.

AND he went into Tiger Stadium on a SATURDAY NIGHT and embarrassed LSU.

One of the most improved SEC QB's I've ever witnessed was Mr. Allen. LSU likely loses only one game a year ago with Allen at the Helm. Hopefully BH shows as much improvement this season.

Similar to how lsu fans like Les because he comes across as an idiot - so it feels homey and sorta perfect for the area.

He has to this point. You can't really dispute that.

LSU likely goes undefeated with Brandon Allen as their QB.

How bad will losing his assistants to Kirby hurt?

the one we lost the season before turned out to be an upgrade- our o was better this past season and that includes significantly better play calling. to be determined on the other.

The significant name I'm familiar with is Chaney, which he hired Enos. Most of the people that have left, he wanted to keep.

assistants? You mean just Pittman? It sucks but we will have to see how the new Oline coach does first.

Arkansas fans were flying banners in 2003 for Houston Nutt? News to me.

Didn't he let his first DC hire go and replace him with the one from Rutgers? Just seems like he's gone through a couple of coordinators already.

I did forget about Chris Ash but he took the job at Ohio State as a Co-DC. Never know what happened behind the scenes but I don't think Bert wanted him gone after one year at the job.

I think Chaney was the only one that was openly let go and for good reason. A majority of the people that have left did so because of better jobs/more money. Of all the things to criticizing Bert on, his hirings are pretty low on the list. That could change if the defense is horrible this year.

He encouraged Chris Ash to look for other opportunities. Then he hired Rob Smith. He encouraged Chaney to do the same thing. He found Dan Enos. He has definitely upgraded in coordinators from when he first started

The only position coach I am questionable on at the moment is Rory Segrest. He replaced Charlie Partridge who is now the Head Coach at FAU.

That's what I was thinking. Don't remember him outright firing them but don't remember them necessarily leaving on their own or for better opportunities. They do both appear to be upgrades though.

Replacing one of the best SEC QB's ever,

Whaaaaaaa?

Out of curiosity...how high would he have to rank to be considered one of the best SEC QBs ever?

A lot of people believe Tebow is the best SEC QB ever

Well, a lot of people might make the argument Cam, Manziel, Wuerffel, Peyton Manning, Pat Sullivan, Steve Spurrier, Fran Tarkenton, Archie Manning, Eli Manning were all better...and AJ McCarron, Joe namath, Kenny Stabler were all pretty special. these are off the top of my head.

I mean, Allen was good last season, but I would take any of the ones I mentioned (And a whole lot more) over your guy if I had to choose straight up. And stats don't tell the whole story.
