so did Jevan Snead. What's your point?

Did Jevan Snead have to go against a band of wild savages, including Boogie? Didn't think so.

But it's not all on Bret, it's a rebuilding year.

how does a coach find himself in a rebuilding year in year 4 when he took the job in the midst of a complete rebuild? Is this like Tennessee being young the past 6 years?

I think it just happens even in the sec west, they lost a ton of talent.

How did Les Miles go 3-5 in the SEC in his 4th year? How did he go 4-4 in the SEC and lose the Music City Bowl in his 10th season at LSU? Saban handed him the keys to a national power with huge recruiting advantages.

Replacing one of the best SEC QB's ever, replacing one of the best SEC RB's in Alex Collins, the replacement to Alex Collins had a serious injury he's coming off of, lost 3/5 of our offensive line, and lost one of the best SEC TE's ever. You can't lose that much and expect to do better than the year before.

So you had one of the best QBs, RBs, and TEs SEC history, a very solid OL and defense and you still went 7-5? And you're defending this coach? He isn't doing better than 7-5 this year, and probably not next year either.

You forget the total implosion after the petrino fiasco and john smith.

Bret had some serious program rebuilding to do and it doesn't happen overnight

Brandon had a great senior year period and was as good as anyone in the league. Watching him and Dak go back and forth was unbelievable. They both made play after play and they were the best two in the league last year. Arkansas will not finish last, they have a better shot at finishing 1st than the do last. That being said we're probably going to be middle of the pack with 8-10 wins.

The fact that he took the team on the road and won @ Ole Miss, @ LSU, and @ Tenn gives us hope. His teams have been competitive against Bama the last 2 years. We've beaten LSU and Ole Miss 2 years in a row. We've won 2 bowl games in a row. No one is entirely happy with last season, but the team is trending in the right direction overall.

Pretty simple really. Almost every player from his first recruiting class played since they were freshmen and most of them just left early for the draft so the ones behind them don't have much experience

That's a little too rational, Jon.

I never said rebuilding years don't happen. I asked how does a rebuilding year happen in year 4 when he started off in a rebuild

When people mention best SEC QB's of all time, I think of the Mannings, Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, and Brandon Allen.

It is almost impossible for some to understand this. They want to look at Petrino's back to back 10 win seasons and act like there was loads of talent when he left.

That's understandable for an Ole Miss fan, considering @ Ole Miss he went 33/45 for 442 yards, 6 TD's and 0 Int's against the shark tank defense of Ole Miss' best team of all time.
