I guess you are correct. Florida would still be playing the same number of home games even though they would have to not play Przyb.

Yes... I think I understand now.

I seriously doubt any insurance will pay for a game cancelled to play another game, be real.

Is it just me or as an insurance company... would you rather pay the insurance for the LSU cancellation or the Przy cancellation? At this point there is little doubt that one of these games is being cancelled.

Not sure if there is a sliding scale or not but insurance is already on the hook. Trust me when I tell you this.

Wasn't trying to come off as a prick. I'd love to see this game played at some point just have no idea when that will be. I seriously doubt LSU wins out, but I would hate to see UF win the west on something like this.

UF intentionally dragged their feet because they did not want this game to happen. Everyone knew the storm was threatening. There was not a shift in the storms projected track on Wed night or Thur morning. In fact the only shift that occurred has been since the announcement of the cancellation actually making the game possible. The team is beat up and they wanted the rest. Winning that game does nothing for them and losing it takes them out of contention for the East. They have insurance for the lost home game. They're getting their money. If they had gone through with a game as scheduled or even on Sunday or Monday the revenue would have been nothing compared to what they'd get for a game where there wasn't a fricking Hurricane bearing down.

LSU offered anything and everything they could to to make the game happen. They offered to play in Gainesville on Sat, Sun, or even Mon. They offered to play in BR and even set up busses, charter planes and hotel accommodations for UF. Those offers were flatly refused by Foley. There was never any discussion about an 11/19 game on any of the conference calls.

There are only two possible scenarios that could have occurred. Either UF intentionally dragged their feet on the decision and expertly played Sankey and the SEC because they had zero desire to play LSU, or they were too stupid to realize that moving the game to Baton Rouge was really the only option to get the game in. There is no other possible explanation.

Anyone who thinks Florida isn't offering any solutions to this is an ignorant moron.

To whom are they offering? Alleva says that's a lie.

It's in Florida's best interest not to play the game.

Alleva has also insisted that no other dates have been discussed.

"We had a very productive phone call today with a great spirit of cooperation between the universities’ presidents and athletics directors and it became clear that the University of Florida could neither host nor travel to a game this weekend considering the circumstances,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in a statement. “The developments of the hurricane in the last 24 hours, the projected magnitude of its impact and the unknown aftermath of this storm have resulted in this decision to seek another date to play the LSU-Florida game."

The SEC office will make every effort to find a scheduling solution with the possible movement of other games on the schools’ schedules, a statement from the league said. Before deciding to postpone the game, the schools and SEC explored other dates and location options, and LSU offered to either travel or host the game over the course of the weekend, the statement said.

Alleva stated that no discussions were ever made about rescheduling outside of this weekend. He made numerous attempts to get Florida to play the game this weekend, and they refused.

Yes, the Sunday and Monday after. Alleva acknowledged this and stated it.
