From ESPN article this morning

"The 18th-ranked Gators (4-1, 2-1 SEC) want to play the game Nov. 19 in Gainesville and offered that scenario during conversations on Wednesday and Thursday. But sources told ESPN and The Associated Press that LSU turned down that offer."

Either you want to play the game or not. If you want to play the game, then agree to the date and go.

Alleva said there's been no conversation about the 19th.

Furthermore, so you're saying LSU should be penalized and lose a home game because Florida's AD is incompetent? That's not going to work.

Anyone who thinks Florida isn't offering any solutions to this is an ignorant moron.

So they are asking LSU to disrespect the great USA? Yeah, right.

ETA: USA = University of Southern Alabama, the team on the schedule that week. Tis a joke.

Joe Alleva has refuted that ever being offered several times. He went as far as calling it a "flat out lie"

From LSU AD Joe Alleva with radio interview this morning. This is the other side of the story.

-LSU made every effort to play this game

-LSU had transportation in place to play game in Gainesville come hell or high water whichever day FL wanted.

-Foley was adamant until yesterday afternoon that the game would be played at UF and rebuffed ANY conversation of moving the game. Basically had his head in the sand.

-called McMurphy of ESPN a liar that was looking for clickbait with his story about LSU's refusal to reschedule game. 100% false

-each conference call that took place had reps from LSU, UF, and the SEC.

-SEC did NOTHING to step in and encourage a decision be made. Joe said not once did they put any pressure on UF.

-game will almost certainly not be rescheduled.

I believe the AD calling people flat out liers, yes.

You believe it is reasonable for LSU to lose a home game?

What I posted in another thread:

quote:

If the game is necessary to decide a winner of either division, it will be played on 11/19. If both Florida and LSU are non-factors after 11/12, the game won't be rescheduled.

And it really is just that simple.

Well, someone is definitely flat out lying. LSU AD was being interviewed on radio as I drove in. He was emphatic, and said NO ONE has contacted him and discussed moving the game to 11/19. Either he, or the FL source, are lying. Both can't be telling the truth.

This might become a pissing match between the 2 AD's. I sure as hell hope so. I hope they both start calling each other out in the media, by name. Someone is going to have to admit to lying.

Then they should've agreed to play the game this weekend. Why would we give up a home game for a storm that isn't affecting us. We aren't the ones who forfeited. But of course you aggies are gonna stick with your brothers/sisters at Florida. We are both of yalls daddies.

Yes I do. He called McMurphy a liar and an example of bad journalism. He was pretty adamant about it.

I just heard Foley say they couldn't come up with anything so they'll just wait and do what Sankey tells them. He's either a liar or an ignorant moron.
