You seems to be under the impressing that is a bye week.

I am not. I only referenced the ESPN article. If this is about the SEC East and West race, then the game between UF LSU is important... potentially.

Once again, I didn't propose anything. Just pointed out the article. What is unrealistic is any kind of makeup game that would require the SEC championship to slide back a week. This ain't happening.

Either you want to play the game or not. If you want to play the game, then agree to the date and go.

frick you!

This is peewee football type shite here. UForfeit had all the options to play this game now, but instead want LSU to get screwed because they are a bunch of pussies? This whole situation is just unbelievable to me and sets a president for future game cancellations.

They are pussies. Totally convenient for them to play on that date sandwiched between USC which sucks and FSU who are fellow in state pussies.

I addressed all of this on the first page. You're welcome to go back and read it.

Insurance for LSU volunteering to cancel a scheduled game? I don't think so, but I guess it's possible

that's why i said "supposedly". it's a narrative

that's also why i said there couldn't even be a coverage assessment yet

i was just nipping the "insurance" argument in the bud before people started trolling with it

Neither has to. UF could have the the game Sunday or Monday. That is their decision LSu should not have to pay for their piss poor planning.

Rules need to be in place for this. Florida should have been forced to play the game somewhere in the Southeast or forfeit. Simple as that. They shouldn't be allowed to back door their way into the SEC championship game.

So one solution is playing a game this week somewhere like just about every program is doing in the effected area. The other solution is to cancel two other scheduled games to play a third game that could be played this weekend, try to collect on an insurance policy for the game this Saturday and force the league to buy out two games and lower shared revenues.

Of those two solutions, yeah I could see why disinterested fans would love to cost their schools money for no good reason.

The only way LSU should consider playing on the 19th is if the SEC also agreed to not only reimburse them for lost revenue and their buyout of USA but also move the A&M game to Saturday and take care of whatever financial hardships arise as a result.

U R an idiot fukwad!!!

Yea, let the lizards dictate on their terms when they had the chance to play the game on the weekend it was scheduled. LSU would lose MILLIONS if they agreed to that DEMAND by U of Forfeit!

LSU AD Press Conference:

Athletic director Joe Alleva addressed the media on Thursday and said that LSU made every possible attempt to play the Florida game, which was canceled.

Alleva said they offered to play the game on Saturday, Sunday, or even Monday. Also offered all expenses covered to play in BR and all profits would go to U of Forfeit!!!

He even offered to play in an empty stadium in Gainesville if police or workers could not be on hand.

GTFO you aTm faggie............

It all seems to me like Florida was not proactive. They knew early in the week that the game would likely be affected. You can't tell me there's not a stadium somewhere between Gainesville and Baton Rouge that they couldn't play this game.
Sounds to me like Foley wanted autonomy in this decision and could give a crap what LSU wanted to do. Florida arrogance at its finest.
I hope they do play on the 19th and LSU beats them senseless.

Still though, hope the hurricane/tropical storm comes out ok for all involved.

Made a thread for this yesterday and it fell on deaf ears. This absolutely needs to be brought up at the SEC meetings next summer. Total lack of leadership from Sankey. It never should have gotten that far and never should have dragged into Thursday. There needs to be a clearly defined system in place when catastrophic weather could affect the playing of a football game at the home site.

I am all for playing this weekend. Will take the league and UF word if they don't think it is safe. Safety comes first.

LSU shouldn't lose a home game, because Florida doesn't want to. So 11/19 is non-workable.

Ok, so hold on a minute.

This is what LSU has to do?
-cancel contract with South Alabama and pay them anyway
-lose a home game and all of the revenue that comes from that
-play 3 straight away road SEC games in 12 days.

And LSU has to do this because Florida didn't see that a damn hurricane was coming on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'll also present evidence that college games will be played in the state of Florida this weekend. One of them being played in Miami. Also, Georgia and South Carolina postponed game until Sunday.

Something else is at work here. Hmmmm, wonder what that might be.
