The complaining about the time period for the three games in this thread is hilarious. Teams play Saturday-saturday-Thursday stretches every season across multiple conferences

Arkansas has LSU/MSU/Mizzou on Saturday-Saturday-Friday. Miami is about to have FSU-UNC-VT over a Saturday-Saturday-Thursday. We used to play OU-Big 12 North team-Texas over the same stretch in the Big 12 every other year it seemed like.

But oh my god it's asking so much of our team!

Unless they were going to foot the lost revenue, the SEC can go frick themselves

Of course they weren't going to do that. OP pulled that out of his arse.

If LSU offered to play the game on Sunday or Monday, then it is a forfeit by Florida

How much revenue were you going to lose from the South Alabama game?

So now it's OK to use that excuse?

You have to pay South Alabama probably around 600-700k?? Not sure. Then you have to reimburse 80 thousand season ticket holders then you lose tons in concession / merchandise sales. I think every home game brings in about 3-5 million in revenue

Sold attendance and whatever you would make from concessions and the like. The numbers being thrown around are $3 to $8 million.

The SEC has zero fricks to give regarding an concession LSU made with a school from another conference. LSU fans don't have enough brain cells to wrap around that fact.

A Gump questioning anyone else's intelligence.

Next, Michael Moore will make a comment about someone else's body mass index.

Only guessing, but a Sunday or Monday game probably needed some guarantees for travel, TV, etc. Not sure how UF could be expected to give those assurances until Saturday. We have no idea if the parties were willing to wait that long.

Ahh so the same policy that would've covered UF for revenue this weekend?
