Just using numbers... QBs who are superior to Mallet and Tebow....

1 Case Keenum, QB HOU
2 Tyler Sheehan, QB BGSU
3 Levi Brown, QB TROY
4 Jimmy Clausen, QBND
5 Tim Hiller, QB WMU

Matter of fact Tebow isn't even in the top 40... do you think all of those QBs are better than Tebow because they have better numbers.... Stats are misleading.

So, purely putting up numbers, where the majority came against bad teams, is more important than winning and doing it consistently

Once again, the W/L record is a Team Stat. If Florida had no defense, they'ed lose each game 30-56...Florida's D is Top 5 = Florida's D gets ball back to Tebow more often than Arkansas' D does for Mallett , yet Mallett has the better numbers...?

You talk about Mallett and his numbers coming against cupcakes...? lol 7 of Tebows TDs have come from cupcakes (32% of his TDs, are from 2 games, and one coming up this weekend)

Nothing I have ever posted, or will ever post, is as dumb as the above.

Mallett, an SEC QB, has the #3 QB rating in the nation.

I do agree stats arent everything, but two sidenotes:

1) Mallett and Tebow both play in the SEC, so they see the same competition

2) Mallett has better overeall numbers (so far) between the two

3) Case Keenum is a beast and should win the Heisman if I could vote

BTW

Pass attempts 26 T. Tebow vs Arkansas (Oct. 17)
Pass completions 17 T. Tebow vs Arkansas (Oct. 17)
Yards Passing 255 T. Tebow vs Arkansas (Oct. 17)

These are TEAM HIGHS for Florida this season. TEAM HIGHS

If I have to explain the relevance (which I probably will) you should leave this thread now and not come back.

Help me understand the difference between Eric Berry getting the nod, and Mallett not.

It's very simple. It's based on the concensus opinion that Berry is the best at his position in the SEC and the fact that Tebow is the best at his position.

It's not solely on stats. It's not solely on record. You've incorrectly come to that conclusion.

1)I'm fine using strictly numbers

2)I still examine the numbers.

Mallett is an SEC QB, with the #3 QB rating in the nation.

Question: How did Tebow get all of those oon-field accolades? Was it for on-field performance, or was he just the "best leader" on the "best team"

No one is denying he is a great QB, but even Tebow had to earn his accolades, just like Mallett should earn the accolade of Best QB in the SEC this year.

Regardless of what you, no one is going to vote for Mallett. Every time he's been on regional and national televison, he's struggled. That's being viewed by potential voters of the very thing you're talking about. On the other hand, Tebow has four years of competing at a high level. Impressive stats or not, a QB with his hype, and number of victories is going to get the benefit of the doubt.

So you agree, Tebow shouldnt win it because he is getting a lifetime achievement award instead of what the award is truley intended for, best QB for the year.

I'm not admitting anything. I really don't give a shite. I don't even know why I was defending him. Where the hell are the Florida fans to do this shite?
