I looked it up. Eitling had 118 passing yards and a 22 quarterback rating against Auburn last year. Those numbers are horrible by most standards

Well against Bama in Baton Rouge last year he was 11-24 for 92 yards with zero touchdowns and an INT because his hips hurt.

Definitely played well enough against Florida and auburn

29/52 (56%)
161 YPC
6.2 YPA
1 TD/0 INT
17 rushes, 39 yards, 0 TDs

I mean, those are pretty low standards for "well enough" QB play.

LSU fans are going to piss in their pants when he plays a real Defense.

BYU is the 3rd or 4th best defense LSU will face this season.. they just have the opposite of an offense

Just curious. What are stidham and hurts ratings?

The Auburn and Bama posts in this thread are a good indication.

11. Danny Etling, LSU (86.1)
16. Jalen Hurts, ALA (82.7)
114. Jarrett Stidham, AUB (32.2)

Not for Etling.

Hurts already has one and it's likely two after this season

All time forever since Etling started : Etling is an ok game manager that is a statue

The fact that 5 people are dumb enough to upvote this says it all about the mouthbreathers on this board how fricking stupid are you to be giving your opinion on Etling when you clearly haven't watched a snap of LSU football this year?

I watched all of his throws on YouTube. I'll say for the 475th time, his ability to move around against Chattanooga does not change my mind at all. Nor does throwing up jump balls into triple coverage that get caught. Sorry.

And you've played nobody. Etling will lose to both teams from Alabama

I like our chances with Auburn. Apparently, they struggle with pass-pro. LSU will get to Stidham a lot.

The 74th ranked defense is the 4th best?

Do we need to point out where the west is?

MSU 6th
Auburn 8th
Bama 20th
Ark 23rd

There's more but that's enough to end the "BYU is great on defense"

He didn't play that well against Auburn. LSU only had like 250 yards total offense against Auburn last year, and that includes rushing yards

He played well enough to be within 1 second of winning. On the road. With Miles offense.
