If your WR has an 7inch height advantage on these guys why not throw a jump ball. Obviously SEC corners won't be that short but maybe Danny knew that he had a ridiculous advantage out there and it's the only reason he threw it up

Why shouldn't we think we win at least 9

Two teams on our schedule have as much talent as us.

Auburn and Alabama and we get one of those at home. There is no reason we shouldn't win out until we play Bama

We is LSU right? I said State thinking they were a 9 win team. Of course LSU should.

Etling is fine against bad teams with easy throws. His problem is good teams who cause pressure and require big time throws and moving away from the pressure.

I am one of the biggest critics of the qb spot for lsu.

Etling has shocked me so far in his improvement. Last year, deep ball. Gtfo. I hoped it wasnt picked off. This year, on the money.

We will see with a real defense.

Never change Alabama and auburn fans

Alabama and Auburn won't change their defense and Etling's results will be the same.
Why do LSU fans always set themselves up for disappointment?

Like those same crappy teams bama's QB faced last year. Four common opponents with EdO as HC and SE as OC.

Etling lead his team to more total "O" against ALL four teams. Tigers put up over 500 yards on three of the four. One was even over 600 yards. The tide went over 500 yards once.

Etling's stats against Florida, Auburn, Alabama

40/76 (53%)
138 YPG
1 TD / 1 INT
21 carries, 22 yards

Sorry for abbreviating Quarterback Passer Rating.

Come on now, just admit you didn't know there was a difference between QBR and the numbers you posted.

You do know what the term "common opponents" means. Right? Also said with EdO as HC. So those two statements eliminates bama and auburn.

LSU VS ole miss 515 yards
bama vs ole miss 492 yards

LSU vs ark 547 yards
bama vs ark 517 yards

LSU vs A&M 622 yards
bama vs A&M 451 yards

LSU vs UF 423 yards
bama vs UF 372 yards

So yes LSU's "O" performed damn well against those same crappy defenses bama faced as well.

Also LSU's "D" held two of them to fewer yards and points than bama's "D".

So, eliminate 2 of the 3 best defenses he faced.

Again, he's fine against teams where LSU can establish the run and let him sit back on PA. See Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, etc.

LSUs offense was very good if they could run on somebody. It was very bad if they could not.

Yet people here talk up Shea "Howdy Doody" Patterson who hasn't played a real defense either.

TRant logic I guess.
