How do we know florida state is even worth a shite yet?

Because Bama played them. Don't you know? If Bama plays a team they are automatically good teams. Fresno State is a world beater.

Maybe L6U will have a real defense this year

Bama scored 10 points against that defense last year (and 7 of them were handed to them). Don't act like Bama was some offensive powerhouse against LSU last year or that LSU had a bad defense last year. You are just making yourself look stupid as frick.

We're going to get Deshaun Watson to drop by from Houston and give him some pointers.

You do know what the term "common opponents" means. Right? Also said with EdO as HC. So those two statements eliminates bama and auburn. LSU VS ole miss 515 yards bama vs ole miss 492 yards LSU vs ark 547 yards bama vs ark 517 yards LSU vs A&M 622 yards bama vs A&M 451 yards LSU vs UF 423 yards bama vs UF 372 yards So yes LSU's "O" performed damn well against those same crappy defenses bama faced as well. Also LSU's "D" held two of them to fewer yards and points than bama's "D".

All that moral victory bullshite doesn't mean anything considering you lost to Bama and 3 other teams

Sure took Bama a LOOOOONG time to hand that arse to us last year even with a statue noodle arm QB.

You lost by double digits... again... this time at home.

And that noodle arm lead LSU to 6 first downs... the entire game

Etling honestly does look better than last year, for those who haven't watched him play this year. He's displayed more arm strength and his accuracy has been excellent. He's also displayed more confidence while scrambling. The surgery made a huge difference -- he has stated in interviews that his arm and back felt numb during games last year.

I expected him to be a little more honest and say something like "I'm mediocre"

I mean, don't get me wrong. I don't believe he is talented enough to be the difference maker against elite defenses. But he does look more comfortable and a little sharper out there. It is good to see.

Did you watch the game? A couple of his touchdowns the last 2 weeks would be picks if we weren't playing the little sisters of the poor

You got beat down by Clemson. A team that got their asses handed to them by Louisville.

Game was still in doubt well into the 4th quarter I know you felt like it was a beat down due to the fact you are a Bama fan and that's just what u do.

You won but it was a close game. Even lil nicky said it was an ugly win and gave the tigers credit for a tough game---but I'm sure u know better.

De is far from a statue, and played well last year except against bama. Definitely played well enough against Florida and auburn. He isn't elite but he is better than several sec QBs.

He didn't play that well against Auburn. LSU only had like 250 yards total offense against Auburn last year, and that includes rushing yards
