Why would the score not reflect the game? We scored 35 and they scored 13.

Boise St. is obviously not what they were under the Petersen era. As ugly as that game was, it's a good thing for OM to know they can play poorly on offense through 3 quarters and still come out on top by close to 3 TDs. Plus the defense looked great.

People make WAY too much of first games. I'm not saying OM is going to set the world on fire, and anybody with half a brain knows that we have absolutely no idea what any team is capable of after 1 performance. Same thing with ATM and USCe. These games are played with no chance to see how their guys are in a game situation minus a spring scrimmage against their own team. So to answer the original post, maybe. But maybe not.

This. +1.

It's one game - fans love to make brash overreactions to a singular event.

And everyone saying Boise is "bad"... pls. They had some legit athletes, a NFL RB, and a physical front seven. Their offense just couldn't handle our speed and physicality.

We will play worse teams than Boise this year (Vandy, UT, ULL, Memphis, Presbyterian).

No. That Ole Miss offense looked atrocious. No reason to struggle that much with a below average Boise team.

I can't wait to see the LSU offensive machine.

I don't understand Freeze's play calling whatsoever.

Maybe its just b/c it happened against A&M a few times but I feel like Ole Miss tries and fails on 4th and short more than any team I've seen.

Honestly, Ole Miss isn't as good as the hype or their rank.

Sort of like Georgia for the last two or three decades

I'd be the house that our QBs don't throw 3 picks in the first half.

No it does not. The WR and defense carried that game. Our Oline is as bad as I feared. WE had no presence in the run game until 4th Quarter when they had quit. Much closer game than it should have been. Damn it Bo

Good lord. Bo threw for almost 400 yards and 4 TDs. He wasn't great but if that's a bad performance, I don't know what to tell you people.

That is the weakness, also. He threw for 387 and there were only 71 rushing yards. OM had better get more than a passing game when they step up to teams who have more depth and have backs that can stand toe-to-toe with the OM receivers for the entire game. The OL looked horrendous in the first half and only looked ok after BSU was tired. Some of it was OM regrouping but much of it was simply Boise not having the horses to keep up. LSU, AU, UA, and MSU are not going to lay down in the second half like BSU did.

I wasn't aware that your QB's were so much better than the guy who is looking pretty good in the NFL.
