Not concerned with bo. OLINE is the only concern.also not concerned with our run defense. We were selling out to pressure the qb and our top tackler from last season got ejected early in the 1st.

good thing we have a month to figure something out on the oline. Vandy, memphis, and ull up next before we play bama.

Let's recalculate by the fact that Boise scored one touchdown late in the 4th and we scored 5 touchdowns in the game.

Our team won and our defense dominated.

You play Southern Miss -- who could likely not beat Starkville High School -- so unless State puts 60 on them, the night was a total failure.

Hell the Boise team we played last night dropped 60 on Southern last year

Unless Dak throws and runs for a collective 450, then it was a massively, piss-poor disaster

What the hell does this have to do with State? The guy took away OM's interceptions but not Boise's. Simple statement without making judgement anywhere. Understand now?

Even with taking away all interceptions, we drove the field on bsu. They, for the most part, had trouble doing that.

All 3 of our ints were from bo making terrible throws. Two of theirs were made from our defense making amgreat play. One of which, RN deflected the ball at the line

I will say, him getting his hand up there was an example of great fundamentals. Good play by the kid.

I also think the other three were their QB making a dumb/poor throw though.

Isn't that the damn truth. That hire set Vandy back 10 years, and we know where they were 10 years ago.

I think LaQuon Treadwell and Robert Nkemdiche looked like great players. Defense totally outmatched Boise's offense from a talent standpoint so its hard to gauge. If Ole Miss has a hard time running the ball it could be a long season.

I don't think you can take the game for too much more than that.

We had a hard time running the ball because of our oline and them stacking the box. We ran fine towards the end when they had to pull back defenders after our wrs started toasting thier secondary

Ole Miss is going to have to get their penalties under control going forward. They looked very sloppy and undisciplined. But luckily for them it's the first game and they have time to improve on that. Also, as others have said, their o-line looked terrible and must improve.

To answer the OP's question, I don't think the score really reflects the game as a whole, just the fact that Ole Miss had superior athletes and depth (a very important thing) that won them the game in the fourth.

Ole Miss doesn't need a bruising back, it needs better OG play.

At some point those penalties were ridiculous. How hard is it to wait for the snap?

Going to have to clean up on D as well. Most teams have been practicing scenarios that will lead to targeting. If they consistently hit high like last night they will lose a player to it in most games.

From what wommack said in the postgame, bsu defense was yelling shift then delaying shifting and it caused our oline to jump.

Not saying wommack is accusing bsu of cheating and calling out cadence...just cant remember exactly what he said. It was something along those lines that their shifts and audibles made us jump. Hopefully thatll be fixed

I only remember one high hit. We did a great job of aiming for the stomach and hips.

that one high hit was obviously from bryant

We were using a first sound snap count. Boise yelling shift kept throwing our lineman off. We went to a silent snap and it got better. I imagine we will continue to do that.

We were using some "first sound snap count" and Boise was calling shifts at the line, which apparently threw our OL off. Once they changed the snap count type the penalties died off.

Hopefully we make other adjustments to the interior OL to help the rungame. We have our bruiser in Wilkins.

Robert twice and Cody once were close to clothes lining the qb. That's only thing I remember.
