There's a lot of talent on the team but I got the impression it was a bunch of big headed superstar individuals and not a team.

Imagine that.

Ole Miss couldn't run at all. 2.1 ypc

Ole Miss acted like they didn't really care to run the ball. They started having success when they got that (relatively) bigger back in there and started pounding it up the middle.

Then things started really opening up down the field with the receivers, and Bo and the O-line started playing well. Imagine that.

Freeze really confuses me with his philosophy.

If it's anything like that last 2 D's you've fielded, I'm not worried.

Without the INTs Ole Miss wins like 49-3 or something.

Didn't Boise have 4? Recalculate based on that.

Without Boise's INTS, the score could have been much closer.

Honestly, Ole Miss isn't as good as the hype or their rank.
Their offensive line will be their downfall this season. I am not sure if Boise's front 4 is suppose to be great, but they made that offensive line look like the Falcons offensive line last season.

Ole Miss's D looks great, but it is hard to judge their performance off a Boise State team.

ETA: If Bo is still considered a best 3 qb after this weekend, then the SEC is fricked come playoff time. His stats were greatly helped by his WRs gaining all the yards after the catch.

First game jitters as a returning starter and red shirt senior? Nah, I'm pretty sure he just sucks and Bama secondary gonna feast on his piss poor arm and decision making.

Our run game opened up after we started targeting Treadwell not vice versa.

Let's recalculate by the fact that Boise scored one touchdown late in the 4th and we scored 5 touchdowns in the game.

Our team won and our defense dominated.

You play Southern Miss -- who could likely not beat Starkville High School -- so unless State puts 60 on them, the night was a total failure.

Hell the Boise team we played last night dropped 60 on Southern last year

Unless Dak throws and runs for a collective 450, then it was a massively, piss-poor disaster

Neither one of them looked very good to me last night. Boise looked atrocious. Not sure if that is because Ole Miss D-line is that good or Boise is that crappy. Too small of a sample size to determine how good they are at this point.

I mean, we all clearly saw last night that Bo isn't this great qb like we all knew, and Ole Miss's WRs are good.
Bo had 387 yards passing, but I would suspect around 150 yards (or maybe more) were yards after the catch. Ole Miss's WRs were making plays all night. But when it comes down to SEC play, Bo cannot play like he did last night for yall to win.

Defense looked great. Already in midseason form.

Too early to make any final judgments on the offense. OL needs work; Bo has got to quit forcing/telegraphing passes; and running game needs to improve. There is plenty of time to work on those deficiencies,.

The only thing that surprised me about this game is ole miss still can't run the football.

DL was a weakness for Boise and they averaged 2.1 against a WAC team.

Don't know why anyone should be surprised by Bo's 4 ints.

The idea that Bo would break thru in year 3 starting is stupid. After you start a couple years, you are who you are.

No. That Boise team looked awful. Their OL was young and inexperienced and those were the best terms to describe it. Not to mention a QB that made terrible decisions. Their CB's were severely outmatched and they really should have never had a chance in the game.

You should be disturbed by the fact that you couldn't run the ball or stop their running game. DL played with absolutely no direction, they were basically trying to get to the QB every down with no other priorities.

What you should take away from this is that, while talented, your team racks of disciprine. Which, I think most of you suspected after all the offseason issues.

He also threw 3 ints against Boise St.

If that is a good performance, I don't know what to tell you.

We know what we have with Bo. He'll be the reason we win a lot of games but he will also cost us a game or two. Not worried about him. The only concern OM fans should have is interior Oline. It was really bad.

It's like the super-scored ACT, you only keep the good sections.

Really though, Bo will be fine. He will throw about double the TD's that he does picks so long as the OL can keep him protected. That, the OL, is the concern.
